My favorite yarn shop! Lesley and Dave are super helpful and craft night on Thursdays is a lot of fun! They can special order if you need something and offer great classes! I love this place

I stopped in last week, was greeted by the shop’s owner who was an absolute joy to visit with! The shop is clean and well organized, just wish she had a little more selection. I plan on stopping in for«Craft Night» this week, am looking forward to an enjoyable evening.

Friendly staff, a nice shop in a nice area of interesting shops(Moreland-Sellwood). We easily found a couple items we couldn’t do without :-)

Love this sweet and friendly yarn store in Sellwood-Moreland. Yarn selection continues to grow; it seems a lot of thought goes into sourcing products that are interesting yet affordable. Have enjoyed great help from Lesley on yarns, needles and understanding something new to me in a pattern. Occasional mornings friends and I meet in the lounge area to work on projects. Have heard the Thursday drop in knit night rocks, but haven’t had a chance to see for myself.

I’ve visited the shop twice so far and each time I’ve felt very very welcomed! Both of the owners are excited and interested in holding a conversation with you and in helping find the perfect yarn! The yarn selection is smaller then a lot of more established stores in town but what it lacks in quantity it more then makes up in quality! This is also the only place in town to buy fandom yarns(nerdgirl) which are some of my favorite! I would definitely recommend this shop(and i have) and I will certainly be looking forward to the year they get to participate in the yarn crawl! I live in no-po so this isn’t the most convenient shop for me to drive to but that is def not going to stop me from coming!

This is a pretty, bright little shop. We’re right in the neighborhood and it’s nice to be able to drop in before or after having dinner. I’ve picked up yarns by Manos, Supernatural Yarns and Nerd Girl, and I understand that they’re working on carrying a wider variety of brands than they are currently displaying. The people that run this place are friendly and overall I’d say stop in and have a look around. My only negative comment is that I’ve been in a few times, and every time it’s been pretty clear that they aren’t so much into winding the skeins you purchase into balls – it’s a little gripe, but I sometimes go elsewhere because of it.

My fingers are crossed. It would be wonderful to have a great yarn store in Sellwood once again and this may be it! I walked through the doors and found a fun, clean, fresh new yarn store with a super friendly owner. She showed me around, talked about what she and her husband have planned for the future of the store, and generally chatted about the stuff that yarnaholic’s discuss. The shelves will be filled with more yarn soon, but there is plenty of choices now for casting on a new project. Leslie shared that she plans to carry customer favorites as well as introducing them to new yarns. Currently she had her cubes stocked with some universally popular yarns from Cascade, Mirasol, Universal, Dream in Color, Rowan, and Skacel, as well as some yarns that were new to me, Nerd Girl and Cat Mountain. There is a computer available to look up patterns as well as a great seating area with a comfy looking sofa and arm chairs.

Hooray for a new yarn store in the Sellwood-Mooreland area! This new shop just opened and is located on Milwaukee in the old Haggis McBaggis retail space(movie theatre side of the street). They are a mom and pop store. The owners are friendly and welcoming. They are still in the process of filling out their inventory but the yarns I recall seeing are brands like Dream in Color, Cascade, KA needles, Frog Tree, Mirasol, Rowan, and more. They have one particular indie dyer that had nerdy named sock yarns(not Dragonfly but another) that were nice. There’s a couch and two armchairs for hanging out. I look forward to a bigger table(I kind of prefer a work surface myself). The even have a computer for looking up patterns that is separate from the register which is really nice. Congrats on the new business Lesley and Dave!
