These guys Rock they move two studio apartment to a one bedroom with out a hitch. John and his buddy were professional and respect of my property. I couldn’t have asked for better. The hourly rate was better than anyone else. I will recommend this company to anyone wanting a great moving experience

My wife and I purchased a cute little piano on Craigslist, and hired West Coast Piano to move it from its old home in Hillsboro to our rental home in Portland. We hired them because our landlord is very concerned about the state of the house, and we wanted to avoid damage to our home and floors by trying to move a piano in on our own.
Initially, the move went smoothly, and the guys moved the piano itself cleanly into our home (no mean feat considering our door situation).
Unfortunately, one of the movers didn’t take care with our finished wood floor. He put the metal-​footed piano bench down on the unprotected floor (there was a carpeted area just a few feet away where he could have moved it), which someone dragged (assuming this was movers, as we hired them to move these things, and no one else interacted with these things during the move) across the floor. This dragging created a long gouge in our wood floor, which we discovered after they had left.
«No problem, we thought, we’ll just call them and talk to them about it.» So we promptly called West Coast Piano to address the damage and make the situation right, but just got a voicemail and a request to leave a message. We left a message, and were ignored.
We’re now going to have to pay $ 800 to refinish the floor of our rental, as our landlord has made it clear that any damage will require a refinish.
We won’t be using West Coast Piano again.

As a semi-​retired piano professional (The Piano
) and former piano instructor I’ve worked with numerous piano movers between Seattle and California. As someone who has personally moved 10 times in the last 20 years, I’ve also experienced numerous moving companies. Integrity is paramount in this industry. West Coast demonstrated impressive integrity when called to my home to expect damage inflicted upon my piano and belongings when I recently moved from the Southwest to Portland. West Coast’s entire approach to the process of inspecting my piano, furniture, and documentation demonstrated knowledge and expertise. Moreover, because the inspection needed to be «independent,» West Coast would not accept any payment for their opinion. Watching them address the problems and listening to their comments demonstrated that they know their business inside out. Unlike other companies who require multiple calls to get information, West Coast was responsive, patient, and polite.

Though there were complications at first due to an accident, West Coast went ahead and made it right to us. Second attempt surpassed my expectations, and management along with the movers were all very apologetic about the original mishap. Rest assured that you are in safe hands. Would recommend the second time around. Movers were very polite and cordial and took extra care in safeguarding, moving and setting up our baby grand piano. Would like to thank Tom and Jason for their help thru the process.

I bought an upright piano on craigslist. Had it moved from tualatin to né portland. West coast has been super easy, nice and professional. They were also very fast! I was surprised how fast they were able to move it in and out. Price was $ 189. Worth every penny!!!

I have used West Coast Piano now four times grand piano (2x) moves, and entire household moves (2x). I couldn’t be more pleased with their courtesy, professionalism, care for stuff — and general fun to be around on miserable moving days. I wouldn’t use or recommend anyone else. They are as good as it gets for piano or household moves. (My last move involved navigating a grand piano up three flights of stairs — the photos of them doing that are priceless.)

Awesome 4man crew helped move us across town. They were very polite and easy to work with. Unlike other moving companies that we called Casey at West Coast was very courteous and responsive to our request for a quote.
On the day of the move they arrived on time and hustled to load and unload a 24ft truck with our heavy furniture very quickly. Everything was well wrapped and protected.
Very happy with their service and price and will certainly be referring to friends and family.

So, overall the price and everything was very reasonable for moving our new piano. The guys were on time and very nice. I was pretty displeased though when they told us they couldn’t fit the piano into the room I had wanted it in. I have a small home and so they had to put it in my living room which looked awful to me. They said for spaces like mine they usually remove the legs and turn it on its side to move it. Well, they didn’t even try. So when they left my boyfriend was on a mission to figure it out. We measured it and realized if we turned it on its side it would make it. My parents had to come over and at that point we realized the legs came off. 5 minutes later my piano was where we wanted it. Problem solving skills I would give them a one. A lot of complaining about it not working rather than using a little elbow grease to twist the legs off.

I depend on West Coast Piano to not only move pianos, but to provide the best customer service to people who are donating their much-​loved instruments to The Snowman Foundation, and to treat them with the utmost respect, care and compassion as they, often, struggle emotionally with giving away an object that has lengthy history and significant sentimental value. West Coast has not failed me or our donors, EVER, in that regard. And on the other side, they seem to understand that our recipients are so overjoyed that sometimes, the kids throw their arms around the movers in happiness! These very capable guys, who move heavy equipment day after day, have been known to walk away from a delivery with a tear or two in their eyes. Their hearts speak volumes to their reliability, dependency and willingness to do an amazing job.

We are very happy with the moving service by West Coast. We hired them to move our piano and some furniture items from storage to new home. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and courteous, and responsive to all of my questions. Pricing was straightforward, no hidden fees, no surprises. And most importantly, the movers really took great care of my belongings and house — It was obvious that they were being very careful and attentive. my experience with Moovers inc/​national van lines was terrible in comparison (did a fair amount of damage, including to my piano). So thanks very much to everyone at west coast!

These guys were great! I called them that morning, and they agreed to move my piano from where I bought it, to my home. They arrived 10 minutes early, and had my piano moved out and into the truck in minutes. They made it look so easy! It was during rush hour traffic, and they arrived at my home only ten or fifteen minutes after I
did. They put my new piano exactly where I wanted, and even took the organ I was replacing at no extra charge.
I didn’t get a bench with my piano, so they took a picture of it so they could match it to a seat back at their store. I’m going to go see what they have found for me in just a few days. They said that they had a lot of seats, and I could probably find one for only $ 10.00 or $ 15.00.
The whole thing went very smoothly, without much effort on my part. I felt very comfortable knowing that they specialized in piano moving, as compared to most other places I saw online which didn’t specialize and probably didn’t know much about them.
I would definitely recommend West Coast Moving to anyone needing this service.

As part of an estate I was responsible for, I had to figure out what to do with a large, heavy mediocre piano. Jason at West Coast Piano Moving went out of his way to help me explore a handful of options. Ultimately, I hired them them to haul the piano away. The cost was modest, but it gave me a huge sense of relief.

West Coast Piano Moving moved my piano today! Not only were they on time, they called me and asked me if they could come early! Definitely the opposite from the cable guy, right?
I hired them to move a small console piano from one Portland location to another about 15 miles away — and I was very glad I did! In the past, I’ve rented U-​Haul trucks and begged/​bribed friends with pizza and beer. The process was always nerve-​wracking and not worth the small savings.
Today, the 2 movers from West Coast Piano Moving were careful, quick, and very friendly. Their professional skills made it look like a piece of cake — because they are that good! The price was very reasonable too, $ 150.
