I’ll begin by saying a big fan of Washman carwashes. This location is not up to par.
This is the dusty time for this location and I won’t be returning. The equipment left dirt and mud on the wheels it left suds on the grill and headlights if my 4Runner.
For me I will continue to support the other Washman locations but not this one.
My favorite thing about Washman is the loyal and happy staff. They are doing something right when the employees speak so highly of owners and managers.

Staff was really nice. Made sure to ask if a decal on the back of my car was safely affixed before I went through the wash. Clean was good. Car is looking shiny! Definitely recommend taking your car here. I will be back.

When the car is up for a wash and I am in Portland, I have to take it to Washman! Compared to other car wash places, I have noticed that the polish and wax lasts longer on the car after the wash. And, yes it is a noticeable difference because it always catches my eye especially when I take it to other car wash places and dust builds up 2 days later. With Washman, the polish/​wax lasts at least a week for my Honda Accord.
Give it a try when you are on the East side of Portland and see if you experience the same.

Great no frills automatic car wash on busy MLK.
For those of you looking for a high end, detail car wash, this isn’t the place for you. Washman is a budget car wash with options for most cars ranging from $ 6 to $ 10 for very basic automatic car washes that similar to what you would find linked to gas stations.
You are guided in by the friendly staff and order your $ 6, $ 8, or $ 10 car wash option (it’s a few bucks more if you have a large pickup truck /​van /​SUV). Then you pull your car into the conveyor belt and relax while your car is pulled through the spinning rags and soapy water.
My car was a dirty, disgusting mess when I pulled in and it came out looking good. On close inspection, there was still a little grime leftover but I feel I got what I paid for.
If you want serious detailing, you’re better off somewhere else, but this is a good option if you want a quick scrub for your car.

Buyer beware:
I used to think these guys were great –until their carwash brushes ripped my headlight off. While they have a long list of cars they note problems with, my car was not one of them – but they are refusing to pay to have my headlight fully replaced.
I highly recommend checking out the fine print before you go through! And if you have a Volvo, best not to risk it. What is cheap on the front end with their prices, you pay for on the back end if there are repairs.
Cheap is cheap.

Fast and cheap!
If you live on the East Side swing through here on your way home. You’ll be in and out in five minutes or less with a clean car.
They run deals and promotions from time to time too — good prices!

I love this place. Pull in, get a pre spray, drive through the wash that will even automatically apply some tire shine, and BOOM! You’re done. Simple and easy. Just the way a carwash should be.
By far my favorite automated carwash.

I was pleased to discover there’s a Washman at SE 4th & Clay, more convenient to my neighborhood than their other locations. The guys working there are always very helpful. When was the last time you noticed that a carwash attendant was enthusiastic about his/​her job? Prices are comparable to other carwashes further out in the burbs (my car qualifies as small, so $ 6 for a basic wash). They have new, modern equipment and a space suited to large vehicles. It can be a bit tricky to maneuver down Clay to their entrance, which is right off MLK Jr. Blvd, so my recommendation is to avoid going during peak traffic hours. Chances are you haven’t noticed them tucked in behind the Burger King at the east end of the Hawthorne Bridge; check them out if you haven’t already.

Love this Washman car wash because of the ALWAYS friendly staff.
It is a ride through, so I don’t believe you can have the full service (vacuuming/​shampooing interior) but I may be wrong. It is fast and very thorough, and rarely a line up to wait. Try it out…

New, clean, modern equipment, friendly staff. Clean car at a good price. The coupon books are a good deal and can be used at any of the Washman locations.
Cool story: last time I went through the wash, a small piece of trim fell off my car. Couple of months later, I’m going through and one of the guys pulls out the piece of trim and attaches to my car. He said he’d found it in the wash and was saving it for someone who needed it.

This particular Washman is funky.
It is a high tech facility that can wash large vehicles (like delivery vans) or trucks with racks and stuff on them.
Here’s why I am smitten with this Washman:
1.) They’re an ecologically minded company
2.) My kids LOVE to ride through this car wash
3.) The staff is always pleasant to interact with
4.) It makes my car happy
Washman has several facilities throughout Portland. I’ve been to nearly all of them. I am really impressed with the quality and capacity at this particular Washman and will continue to be a loyal customer!

We were looking for a self carwash (impossible to find them in Portland :() and landed up here instead. It was fast and good for our really dirty cars and at $ 6 not much more than we would have spent washing it ourselves. We were also impressed that the dryers really worked since the cars were completely dry after we were done (instead of just partially as some automatic car washes leave the windows).we’ll be back.
Btw, the address on the receipt actually gives this location as 1616 SE Martin Luther King Blvd

This is a brand new car wash that does a great job without scratching your car! After having my car scratched by another car wash I’ve been very hesiatant to try another, but this one is great! It might have something to do with being brand new. The employee’s were friendly, although they couldn’t figure out how to run their computer to take a discount based on a coupon I had. It’s also a VERY busy traffic area and can be hard to enter and exit. They can accept extra large vehicles also.
