Be sure to check your bill before you pay. They’re good at jacking up the price of things without telling you about it. More than once, they’ve increased the price of the items we’ve ordered. When we questioned it, the waitress said«that’s what the computer automatically does» and then talked bad about us to other people after we left. It’s a hole in the wall place, cheap food but not cheap prices. The food is definitely overpriced. The service is acceptable at best.

I used to love the wagon wheel. Service was exceptional and food was delicious. Food is still great. Service has gone far down hill. It just makes me sad that every time I go in there the chances of me returning are less and less and it’s all because of service. Tonight I placed a to go order and when I got there I stood several minutes before one of the 3 waitresses hanging out by the bar decided to help me. It felt like I was a nuisance to them with my to go order with how long it took to help me and how fast they wanted me out the door. The 3 stars are for the food and the cooks only because the cooks are what keep it good. Wait staff could be better :(

We love the Wagonwheel. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the menu is very diverse. I love that they’re always adding new things but keeping the foundation. Burgers are the best! The atmosphere is fun, friendly, and relaxed. Keep doing what you’re doing!

Service was very quick and we were greeted promptly. I had the bacon cheeseburger and my date had the cheeseburger with BBQ sauce. We both split an appetizer of sweet potato fries, which were delicious. The food came to the table fairly quickly and was delicious. We would recommend this place. There is also the option of bowling here.

Just came from there and don’t know why I don’t eat there more. Good food for a reasonable price. Very friendly wait staff. I always leave stuffed and taking a box home. A good salad bar, burgers and sandwiches.

Decent food, it’s all bar food pretty much but the burgers are great & the pepperjack cheeseballs are some of my favorites. They just expanded their beer selection so they now offer some decent local beers on tap. Worth stopping by if you’re in the area!

The food is actually really good. I haven’t disliked anything I’ve ordered there yet. There are some silly rules pertaining to how the salad bar operates, but you have to make money with everything! I’m only giving this place 2 stars because of the unfriendly bartender that seems to always be working. A simple greeting welcoming your customers to the restaurant will do wonders for return business… In the 5 or 6 times I’ve say at the bar to eat, I’ve never been greeted, and have always had the impression that the bartender reallllllllyyyyyy didn’t want to be there. She was doing the bare minimum to stay employed, and it showed… When I’ve been seated at tables, however, I’ve received great service and even better recommendations on what to order. It must just be that bartender girl. Advice to management: normally I would say to require your employees to undergo customer treatment training, but it doesn’t seem that all the employee are bad. Just one. So, my advice is to fire the bartender and get someone in there who wants to work.

I’m only giving them 1 star because their salad bar is awesome.. extremely over priced considering they probably opened a bag of salad mix from the grocery store and dumped it in a cheap glass bowl. but still awesome because I don’t have to dump it in a bowl myself at home and most likely spill it everywhere.. I come from a small town and take pride in the small town friendliness. … You won’t find that at the wagonwheelb in small town Portland. I’ve been 4 times.. Like I said. .salad bar. … Every single time the same bar chick is there. Rude and not friendly, attentive or helpful.. Come to think of it no one had been. … If you want poor service.. Cheap drinks. .hearing waitresses B* about their shitty tips…(which are probably rightfully deserved).. check it out. .If you really have just given up on hospitality period… stop on in. .I’m sure their is a table available.. and shoot for the salad bar. And break the rules a bit and take 2 breadsticks…

Cheap alcohol, good sized meals for the price, and cute food wrapping. I wouldn’t get the cod basket again but the pizza and burgers looked amazing.

The Wagon Wheel bar and grille in Portland Michigan is where I first tasted the love of Batch 19 beer., 4 $ a pint. It is tasty. The Wagon Wheel is very nice inside. It is also a bowling alley and there is a small patio outside. The food here has always been good. The pizza is as tasty as the salad bar. I opted for the«Wagon Wheel Burger.» Alleged local favorite for 30 years. I can see why. The wagon wheel is ½ lb with ham and American cheese. All for $ 5.50. I told her to make it a deluxe! This thing was great. It was sloppy and flavorful. Burger– 4 Price– 4 Service– 4 Overall– 4 Above average… Complete with a pail of fries! Inside there are a lot of t.v.‘s playing a wide variety of shows in case you care not to look at who you are there with! Worth a shot anytime!
