Vis A Vis Salon

Today I went in to get my hair cut for the first time in five years. Cheree made me feel beautiful! She did my hair so well that I can’t beleve it! I love it. I know I will come to this place forever. I love my hair.

I had the pleasure of having my hair cut by Curt, who, by the way, was the first male hairstylist I’d ever had. I could not be happier with my experience. The whole process felt very detail-​oriented and VERY skillful, plus he’s a great conversationalist who threw out bits of technical knowledge like it was nothing, which was both helpful to me and proved his skill as a stylist. And isn’t it the role of any kind of technical specialist to impart both their knowledge AND their abilities onto their clients?
The salon itself is clean, stylish and quiet — not that I have anything AT ALL against personal expression, but sometimes it’s nice to sit at a station that doesn’t have a mirror covered in sticker photos and ephemera. Overall I felt very relaxed and at ease.
$ 40 was totally reasonable for the haircut I got, and I have every plan to head back there when I figure out what color I want to dye my hair next — if that turns out well also, I’ll bump up my review to 5 stars. I’m so glad I decided to try this place out.

I have only gone here twice (my last hairdresser left town to open a B&B in Vermont). I went to Kristin on the recommendation of a friend. Kristin has done my hair twice, once color-​only and the other time cut and color. She did exactly as I asked and the haircut/​color are perfect.
Kristin is also a fun and lovely person, easy to talk with. She’s always been on time and gives great service.
The only drawback is the parking, as people use the lot for commuting, I think, and it can be hard to find a place to park that is convenient.

Christie was awesome. It was a first wax job and she walked me through it. I would definitely go back to her.

I loved everything about this salon and the ladies there. They really listen to you and offer a huge array of services! Eyelash Extensions, Hair Extensions, Brazilian Blowouts, Wedding Makeup and Hair by Aimee J’Adore Makeup, plus all the facials, manicures, waxing and hair cuts and color. I love it!

Vis a Vis primarily offers hair care services. But there is also a treatment room where Candice and Julia provide facials and waxing.
The facial was great — very relaxing and effective. I enjoyed everything but the extractions. My nose was red afterwards.
I also liked the skin care products from Yonka. There was no pressure to buy and I was given samples.
