My hubby and I had a blast here! We had wine while making our first painting with such good instructions and help from the artist. We didn’t know how to paint but had a fun time learning something new. Thx Jenny and Paul!

I loved this place! It was so fun! I really had no idea what to expect and it was really fun! The wine was separate but they were offering a summer special of $ 25 for the painting package. The class was really fun and informative and the instructor was really nice and helped let your nerves go. He made it a really enjoyable experience and I seriously cannot wait to go back. He also was willing to fix anything at the end of the class you wanted fixed in your painting. LOVEDTHIS!

Oh Goodness, I love it here. No better way to spend a couple hours. I had heard about them for a few years. All my friends were trying to get me to go. I just wasn’t feeling the concept at first. I wasn’t too excited about driving out to Sellwood, which is where the original location is at. I’m a Westie!!! LOL. Also, I didn’t see myself paying $ 30 for a painting done by me. I just didn’t get it. I’m a tough nut. Sometimes it takes a while for something to sound good to me. My Loss completely. I noticed this second location popped up not too long ago. The seed of interest started to bloom. Also, a good friend was in town and this place was her thing. So, we made reservations for my very first visit. OHMYGAWD. I LOVEDIT. It turns out that I’m an amazing artist. My kindergarten teacher was right. It only took 30 years and a couple of beers for me to acknowledge it. The instructors are amazing. So, incredibly patient and lots of fun. They never judge. So many people will come in and be very stressed about coming away with a decent painting. The instructors are great at lightening the mood. The owner creates all the paintings. The selection is amazing. I’ve been three times and am very proud of all my art. LOL Of course alcohol really helps bring out the relaxation for a more confident artist. They’ve got a great selection of local beers. On Sundays they have $ 3 mimosas. The Sellwood location is a little cuter, but you do have to travel over that darn bridge and park on the street. Tons of available parking in the lot at the Tigard locale. The owners and employees float back and forth between the two. So, the experience and out come are always the same. I now will totally tell anyone that Thirty Bucks is a steal for the average 3 hours it takes to drink and paint a masterpiece. It’s so fun and relaxing. LOVELOVELOVE

Sooo much fun! I love a good dose of creativity. I do not consider myself an artist but for 2.5 hours I was a bona fide painter. The instructor took us step by step through the painting but also allowed a lot of flexibility if we wanted to change a color or style. I would love to do this on a regular basis because it is challenges me to look at a piece and figure out how I want to make it look.

Portland’s original guided artist bar for the non-artist type. what a great addition to the up and coming area of Far SW Portland/Metzger/Tigard area! Rumor has it many artist types are moving to this area because of it’s location and cost effectiveness. So this business is one great indicator of this. I guess Vine Gogh have been in business a few years now. Their sellwood location opened in 2011. So the leaders/guides are local artists that do step-by-step painting classes on canvas. They offer painting classes are set to music, and they serve liquid encouragement/adult beverages i.e. wines, beer, and hard cider etc. One does not need to be an experienced artist to have a great night of creativity and with an open and inviting environment. It is a great night/day out with friends and or office groups. Each class is approximately 2.5 hours start to finish. What a great creative night out! We are always looking for great options and unique experiences to have with friends. What a great addition. Date nights, private parties and children’s classes are also listed. I can’t wait to set up more surprise classes for friends!!! I guess each class is around $ 30? They are located right near the Portland/Tigard boarder around the area Burger King and Fred Meyer. Leave a few minutes early it might be a little tricky to find. It is right on the 12 bus line so there is always that option. They serve many local sourced beverages which always makes me happy to keep it local. They just opened so they have not worked out all of their glitches but we had a great time so no complaints from me!
