Uno Mas

Updating my review from over a year ago. All is well in the east side of Portland for these incredible street tacos. 6 – 8 needed for a solid meal. 4 if you want to go out lightly. Make sure you try a good variety. The Barbacoa is awesome!

I wanted so bad to like this place after reading all of the postive reviews. Iam dissapointed that Uno Mas did not live up to all the good reviews. I ordered 2 mushroom tacos and 2 nopales tacos. Both of the different tacos were covered in a sauce that didnt leave any room to taste the actual mushrooms or nopales. Also for me it tasted over cooked especially the nopales. The tacos were very small. And very spendy $ 12 for 4 tacos. If you going to spend that much money you should be full and satisfied. And just to make things worse; you can not order extra tortillas or side order of beans. As i asked the lady taking my order if i could order some extra tortillas or a side of beans. And i was told an infatic «no». I also didnt particularly like that all the salsas are in plastic dispensers. My friend ordered 4 chicken tacos and he was not liking them. I couldnt find out why he just said he didnt care for them. he also mentioned the $ 12 price was too much for what you get.
Its too bad we were hoping this would be a go to place for tacos.
On the positive side the establishment was very clean and the lady taking our order was pleasant.

Affordable lunch in a quick, super casual environment. My favorites are the queso and the carnitas, tho sometimes I do fish or shrimp to switch it up. I literally don’t know how anyone could complain about this place, three tacos and I am full and happy. Definitely a more wallet-​friendly alternative to Por-​que no.

Ummmm, I don’t really know why you would go here unless you are afraid of Mexican people. Mexican people eat better food at lower prices at all kinds of places in Portland. If you’re not afraid of them you can do the same! I did enjoy the grilled onions, but everything else was pretty dang mediocre.
