I asked Unilocalers where to get some local Portland gifts for my sister in law’s baby shower since I’m not really in the know and Unilocal came through and recommended this place. I got some adorable onesies and other gifts made by local designers and made by Francis’ mother. Francis, who helped me out, was very delightful and helpful. My brother really liked the items I picked out and I will be picking up some Christmas gifts here too. I felt pleased knowing I got some useful and really cute gifts for my future nephew while supporting the local economy. Thanks for helping me out again, Unilocal!And thanks for being here for me, Treehouse! I will definitely be back!

Great spot for entertaining the littles and shopping with them as well! Resale and new items with a store setup to draw in the shopping eye of kids and adults. Added bonus, pay for the show in the awesome kid-​friendly theatre to see local performers while you peruse the racks. Wonderful owner who is open to inventory suggestions and keeps a good variety of items for all price ranges.

Tried shopping here yesterday, came during their «posted hours» both on Unilocal and their website, the lights were off, no sign on the door to inform of hours or if/​when they’d return. According to their website, they’re open… just wish I wouldn’t have wasted a trip out there.

Great shop to pick up gift or something for your little one. I enjoy shopping there because they are an independently owned and local business, and Lisa the owner is just darling.

Like that this store is better organized than other similar stores. They have cute boutique items, as well as bargains. I have been very pleased with the unbleached cotton diapers I purchased here. Looking forward to selling some outgrown items here, and trading up. Note that the store is not visible from the street. Also hours seem to have changed from posted/​phone message, as they were not open on a Monday.

The Treehouse is a weekly MUST for us! So warm, welcoming … INVITING! We can’t wait until our infant daughter is old enough to participate in the preschool activities. In the meantime, we drop in on storytimes and other events. Some of our greatest «finds» for our baby were @ Mississippi Treehouse. Great 2nd hand clothes that are in excellent condition — also got a baby carrier and some toys. priced right!

Resale is very important when dressing your baby. They don’t wear anything for very long, so when it is outgrown there is plenty of life still in their clothes, and that is where selling old clothes and buying used can save lots of money. But you also want to buy a few fun new things too.
Which is what makes Mississippi Treehouse so convenient. They sell both used clothing and shoes and new fun pieces as well, with a few toys thrown in for good measure.
My favorite thing though, was how helpful the woman running the store was. She would find out what we were looking for and then bring us all the examples she could think of. She was even gracious and amused when I came running back in because my baby had grabbed a hat without me noticing and stolen it. Baby larceny!
Lots of good brand for sale used, new handmade items, and fun toys. Hooray!
