Future slum dwellings. No respect for the neighborhood or the neighbors.

These tiny purple and green houses sit at the corner of Beech and Albina and slap you into attention with their bright colors and unique architecture. Two-​on-​a-​lot, these two tiny houses look like a fun and noteworthy place to live and/​or work. I snapped some pictures with general info because the quirky construction is sure to gain recognition for its builders and/​or inhabitants. Will they be living spaces? Artist studios? Or air-​bnb moneymakers? Here’s what the sign said: «We aim to add texture and encourage community in the neighborhood. By creative development of a standard 50′ x 100′ lot, these auxiliary structures will provide a unique personal dwelling experience in the Mississippi area.»
Worth a drive-​by, next time you take your out of town visitors to see the gingerbread cottages at N. Michigan and Shaver, stop by Beech and Albina to see totally opposite style in a similar sized restraint.
