Another one that I already thought I wrote a review on. Seriously I don’t know where my mind is sometimes. I love this place, plain and simple. The lady at the register has got to be an owner — she screams owner to me and she knows all her regulars. I love places that have regulars. It’s that whole Cheers mythos. I’ve had a few but not in the Northwest. I had the patty melt with homemade macaroni salad. They should sell that stuff by the pound. Seriously good stuff. The patty melt was awesome as well, and on special on the day I went. Perfectly swirled rye bread which I’ve always been a little afraid of for some reason. didn’t think it could taste right like the regular rye bread. It tasted great. My sandwich was flavorful but not too greasy and I was a happy camper. I wish it were a little closer to work because I like to have a leisurely lunch but I will definitely go back. The people who work there have a great work ethic too. The place was spotless and the tables were constantly being bussed and cleaned. That’s quality.

California adventurer with LA tastebuds and a deep appreciation for good food and friendly service. That’s exactly what you get here. I got a blackened burger, apricot sauce and a well done patty, tastes way better than it sounds. Friend got a steak and egg sandwich, absolutely delicious, highly recommended. Everyone is extremely warm and welcoming. Just go.

I was seeking a less expensive and more casual breakfast than I’d be able to get at my hotel and found this spot just a few blocks away. I got the vegetarian breakfast burrito. Though it wasn’t the greatest breakfast burrito I’ve ever had, it didn’t disappoint either. It came out really quickly too. That and a cup of coffee for less than $ 10(including tax and tip): mission accomplished. The lady behind the counter was also very friendly so I felt welcomed right away.(Bonus point since a George Harrison song just started playing as I finished this review.)

Strong diner food with particularly fun and spunky service. The woman who took my order was super nice and when I asked her what to get, she said either the turkey club or tuna melt. These just happen to the the two things I almost always get at diners so I was really stuck at a crossroads. But I ordered the club and never looked back. Well toasted bread, good ingredient ratio, and i left real satisfied. Should i return, the tuna melt is in my crosshairs.

They immediately accommodated our group of 11. Nice tables set up in rear, quiet corner. Ordered individually from stock menu. Orders came all at same time, amazingly fast! Everyone liked their chosen item. Staff all tuned in and friendly. Easy to recommend this Café!

During a recent jury duty stint, I used Unilocal to locate the Good Earth. Based on proximity, ratings and menu I chose to have my lunch here. I invited a friend who works at Pioneer Square to join me and we both fell in love with the warmth of our greeting, the service and what we agreed was an honest, tasty and satisfying lunch. I know they are moving soon but in the future I will find a reason to go there again and again. I am not a big fan of nouveau cuisine and prefer my food to be simpler. Good Earth has found a winning recipe of simple but very tasty and feeling healthier, not heavier. It felt like low guilt comfort food to me.

Good breakfast. Can be busy and a long wait with a shortage of seating. Woman operating the register barely acknowledged I was trying to use a check in deal. Seemed more concerned with shuffling me through the line. Besides her, the waitress was very busy on her own helping customers.

Great variety on the menu and excellent service: We did a 5K walk with Purple Stride and we were a hungry family of 4. The restaurant was packed and I overheard the woman taking orders(you pay when you order and then sit) say that they were overwhelmed, but you’d NEVER know it by the people working there. We ordered 4 meals and sat, and our lunch was in front of us in just a few minutes. Tasty, quality food. Very friendly staff, very nice inside, too.

Great setup and good food. You walk in and order in or take out. I ordered in. You sit down and wait for your food to come with the number they give you. They can churn people in and out during the lunch hour because of this process. 1/3lb burger w/fries and a drink for $ 10.

I think breakfast is where this place shines, or at least I hope as their lunch definitely didn’t stand out for me. DH thought his mushroom burger was«good», served with thin crinkle fries. I would not recommend what I had, which was the tomato basil soup and the french dip. The tomato basil soup was watery with chunks of tomato and onion(I think). The French dip is a pretty easy sandwich to do. I couldn’t imagine that it would be easy to mess up the au jus, but apparently it can be done. The sandwich was served open-faced with what looked like a light brown translucent gravy on it. Upon further inspection of the au jus, I have no idea what this stuff was. Au jus is typically is quite dark and thin with a rich beefy, salty flavor. This was a light brown, gelatinous, gravy-like texture. Not what I was expecting and not very good. For $ 10($ 20 for both of ours total), lunch was a completely letdown for me. I’m hoping that our breakfast attempt will go better and I will update my review accordingly. I will say that everyone here was very friendly and customer service was great.

Cute little breakfast spot, with a great price point. Servers were super friendly and very cheerful. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the steak and egg sandwich, which were both quick to be delivered and so delicious!

Nice laid back place. People are friendly and helpful, order at the counter and seat yourself. I chose to build my own omelet since i was told that is what they are famous for… omg so good, best omelet I’ve had in a long time. And the potatoes were perfect. They will be moving maybe in January. Would definately come back if I get to visit again. Yummy in my tummy.

I had a pretty solid breakfast sando with my choice of meat and a side of potatoes… the sliced up and pan-fried kind. The lady ringing me up was very friendly. Got it to go, so it was very convenient as I was running errands around downtown. Saw they were serving Kobos coffee which made me cringe. That stuff just isn’t good at all. Not sure I would go back but it sufficiently filled a craving that morning.

This adoarable little place is the epitome of an ideal breakfast spot! The walls are a sunny yellow, with interesting pictures, and the tables are not too close to each other. After placing the order with the cheerful woman(probably the owner) at the cash register, I was given a number and a coffee mug. The self-serve coffee very flavorful, as would be expected in Portland, and the coffee stand was well-stocked with fresh hot coffee(duh), and a variety of sweetners, milks, etc. I had an omelette with pepper jack cheese, mushrooms, onions, and spinach. Despite the number of added ingredients, the omelette was still only 1 price(about $ 8.50). It came with toasted multi-grain bread, which(surprise!) had actual whole grains baked into it. I chose to have a fruit cup, which cost $ 1 extra, instead of the usual hash browns. I cannot rave enough about the freshness of the fruit!!! Even the bananas were so freshly sliced, it was as if you just sliced it at home! I highly recommend this restaurant for great food and service at a reasonable price!

Spent a week in Portland and since Mothers was a 45 minute wait came to this place! It was no pressure eatery. Walked in and ordered from the board. We had a burrito and omelette. All you can drink coffee. Good coffee not the overbearing dark stuff served here in Portland. Then just grab a table with and they come find you. The food was fresh and generous. Out of the entire week of eating breakfast out this was a must come back to. Highly recommended if you are looking to eat well and not be pressured to buy or hurry out !!

Good place for a relaxed, chill brekki. The menu isn’t exquisite or anything, it’s simple and down to earth, literally – just good comfort food cooked with love. I had the French toast with bacon and egg, and all were excellent quality and texture. The French toast especially caught my eye; the bread looked rather crusty and thick at first sight but once I sank my fork into it, it proved to have a wonderfully soft texture and rich taste that was amplified with a nice douse of maple syrup. Absolutely scrumptious. Not a bad price, either – it was 7.50 plus coffee(and refills!) The waitress was very kind; she offered to grab my coffee and parked a little pitcher of creamer and sugar at my table.

Before we even ordered we were greeted with an amazing hello and a genuine excitement that we were here. They will pretty much make anything to order and off the menu which I absolutely love. I ended up with an egg white omlette and was delicious. We also had great banter with the wait staff which made the experience that much better. Definitely coming back.

Really nice family run breakfast and lung place. I got the bacon and egg sandwich with multi-grain bread. Great sandwich and it came with potatoes. The coffee is self serve(which I liked) and so is the water. Reasonable prices. Overall a great place for breakfast.

A real«mom-and-pop» diner. Unilocal did not disappoint. The storefront was somewhat nondescript, but the inside was painted all sorts of colors. The friendly owner and staff took our order for breakfast. I got the sausage burrito, which many people recommended. It came with a small cup of salsa and sour cream. Dispense-your-own refillable coffee was included. You really can’t beat this deal at $ 6.50. Plus, I thoroughly enjoyed having a nice conversation with the owner.
