The Dogfish Café

I liked the review prior to this and completely agree with there’s. Two of us stopped in for dinner. This was the first time since they re-​opened. The setup of the room/​atmosphere is awful!!! Place was cold and crappy chairs/​tables. I don’t like to dwell on the negative but really can’t find a positive, except maybe the Brussels sprouts were «ok» and the waitress was very nice and attentive.
The beer list was very uninspiring and the wine list, yikes… I can’t even say the menu was going for pub food, especially for the prices. Prices just not the right price for the type of food and the establishment.
I would not recommend for food or drink or atmosphere.

If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. Maybe parts of the old DOGFISH CAFE were broken, but not to the point of creating a nondescript pub/​bistro/​neighborhood gathering place. It’s lost that loving feeling with menu, service, wines, décor, seating… just about everything. Food: sub-​par and atmosphere COLD! The only reason I had another chardonnay was because I took a call from the west coast. kind of wishing for a good California Chardonnay. But, NO. ITALIAN CHARDONNAY. REALLY! Prices VERY EXPENSIVE. The best part was all the corks left over frfrom the original and only DOGFISH, were falling on the floor creating a very dangerous roller derby! Now that’s good, thoughtful design.
Gave it a try. Won’t be back. I feel like a nail has been put in that location.
So Sad.
