I was up visiting my Son in Portland last weekend. Part of hanging out with my almost 18 year-​old is mixing in Friend time with Dad time. So after a busy Saturday that included a trip down to Eugene for a campus tour of the University of Oregon, the Kid accepted an invitation to play dodge ball with a bunch of friends at the gym at this LDS Church.
I dropped him off, met the organizers and friends, and then headed off to nearby Alberta let him have fun without me hovering around him. However, I did come back in time to watch the last few games and enjoy him having so much fun, fellowship, and exercise.
