Your store was refreshing and so much more inviting than the junk store on the corner, Redux.

This is by far one of the most aesthetically beautiful shops in Portland. I’m not just talking about the jewelry and trinkets either. The way that the owner/designer/business woman extraordinair displays her necklaces on rocks and beautiful pin boards draws your eye to not only the merchandise, but to every detail in the store as well. I swear I’ve gone in and thought that a rock used to display a ring or something else was for sale– it was that pretty. Oh! I’m probably also overdue to my girlfriend for a thank you. She bought me a ring from here and I wear it 24⁄7. See? I definitely walk my talk about this place! :)

I love Emily’s jewelry and store. We’ve been into the shop a few times and I still need to actually purchase something. I bought my necklace and two sets of earrings at Noun. Her jewelry is so unique and so cool. I’ve gotten many compliments on it. I’m due for another necklace and I will come into the shop and purchase it, I swear.

I had been into Emily’s shop a few times after finding it on my sister in laws Christmas list. She has some really amazing finds as far as jewelry and other gifts. I fell in love with a necklace in her etsy shop that was in a photo with another item. She was able to make to order the piece for me and get it to me in a jiffy. Not only was her communication through the process amazing, but the piece looks even more amazing then it did in the picture. Emily’s shop reminds me of why I love Portland so much. It has so much to offer and it’s all so original. Her prices are pretty fantastic for custom pieces and the craftsmanship is definitely superior to many I have seen. Definitely check out her shop if you haven’t yet!

Coming all the way from LA for the weekend and this store is on the top of my list! Emily’s work is one of a kind and her store is a bright spot on Burnside. She regulary updates her blog and you can check out new merch there– will be great to see how everything has evolved in person. A must stop for shopping whether you’re a local or an out of townie like myself.

Despite my healthy appreciation for the versatility of duct tape, I’ll never be a MacGyver. My ability to construct a rocket launcher out of a cardboard tube, industrial strength rubber bands, & toothpicks seems to be sadly lacking. Oh, there was that one time in junior high involving a twinkie & my topo map but that was more Rube Goldberg-esque than anything. I can never look at twinkies the same way…[shudder.] Luckily for me, I found this cute little shop on Burnside. Now, not only can I look edgy in my new earrings but in a pinch I can also tighten any loose spark plugs lying around. Yup. These babies are made of stainless steel, recycled spark plug tighteners, altho truthfully they look more like miniature handcuffs to me so maybe they’re multi-purpose? Well, what do you know? Maybe I’ve got some MacGyverish tendencies in me after all. Check out the cool artwork on the walls & chat with Emily. She’s not only innovative & ingenious, she’s also super sweet & another escapee from the emerald city.
