What’s the deal? Is this held twice a year now? It made for a good dinner last Sunday. The food is the same. It’s always good. Everyone in our party was pleased. The ice cream was a different variety, though. Typically, they’ve featured a spumoni cup, but not this time. The service was the friendliest experienced thus far. Evidently, people from all over the area show up for this event.

I would never normally review a meal I can only get once a year, but St. Ignatius has been doing this for 77 years… They have it down to a science and they deserve a review… It’s always on the Sunday after Valentine’s day… pretty close to Fat Tuesday, which is a good thing, because you can’t get out of there without feeling it. You can take out or eat in. and these guys run a smooth show… seating people in order… bringing salad and bread, wine and beer… while waiting for your food… you will sit at long tables and may make some new friends. The bread and garlic butter could have been my meal… but then the plate came… HUGE plate of spaghetti, meatballs and ravioli… enough to feed me for three days! And for a church dinner with mass production, it was pretty darn good… service was friendly(she even wrapped up the leftovers which they are not supposed to do)…Once a year… it’s on my calendar! I did forget to say that the meatballs were not the best this year. way to much filler… but what do you expect when you have to make 10,000 of those little puppies to feed the masses… bet that was more than the loaves and fishes trick!
