Got a Groupon for the«to go» version. I got the«Messy Monkey» sandwich. I expected it to be juicy and messy. Instead it was dry. The only condiment on the dry bread was mustard. Nothing else. I got home and added my own sauces. My husband got the bacon blue burger. Nothing special. Also dry as heck. Glad I tried it on a groupon.

Definitely a well kept secret. This is one of those hidden gems. Went here with a groupon and a group of friends, and everyone’s food was SO good. Service was great, definitely going back.

Just had the best drink and quesadilla of my life. Highly recommend. Not a dive bar! My new favorite bar. Can’t wait to come back tomorrow and try a burger! Also, the bartender is so friendly and inviting! I hope she gets paid well, because she went above and beyond to everyone inside the bar

Got a Groupon for this little gem. So glad I did. They have a good beer selection, some different ciders, and the burgers here are so good! The bartender was so nice. The coolest part of this place is the swings at the bar!!! Came here early afternoon on a weekday. There wasn’t many people here. This place looks like it be a lot of fun on a weekend. I went to tell my mother in law about this place & she had go try it out. She said she’s been here a few times already and loved it!

I was pleasantly surprised with this place. The food was pretty good, the server/bartender was very helpful and played some good tunes on the digital jukebox. They’ve only been open for a couple months.

Pricey for food and drinks, for being in Gresham. Also drinks are weak. Bar staff are not very friendly. Bar smells like old mop water, and the toilets are dirty. People seem to try to be on the snooty side. Not my scene lol

Frozen food, warm beer. Miss this place. Better choices a few minutes away.

I enjoyed my first visit to this bar and grill tonight for a beer and burger and chat with a friend. Plenty of seating outside of the bar area, nice selection of beers on tap and interesting, tasty burgers. Gresham has so few interesting and good casual dining outside of the standard family and chain restaurants. Its so nice to have a place with a little flair, and reasonably priced food, drink. Great venue for relaxed conversation over a drink and meal with a friend.

Frequently visit your restaurant and thought we would try your new Gresham location. Amazingly the food was the same, wonderful. The service not so much. There were only one group of three at another table so it wasn’t busy at all. We were lucky if the waitress came by every½ hour. Maya return later to see if it improves. Overall opinion of the new restaurant clean and good location.

Delicious food! Handsome Husband had the Backyard BBQ burger, I had Ultimate guacamole burger. So scrumptious. Our server Dawn was efficient without hovering. The atmosphere was casual & the noise level more than tolerable. We’ll be back!

We had the BBQ spud with nachos as an appetizer. Our waiter recommended this and it was great. Service is A++. Food and drinks are great as well.

Fast, professional, service. Reasonably priced, high quality food from the creative, themed menu makes the establishment once known as the«Watering Hole» a great haunt to frequent if you live close or a destination for anyone else who digs chowing down on real deal meals, flirting w/charismatic tenders & knocking back one or two adult beverages.

This is a absolute hidden gem. Being in a strip mall and due to the location where its at one would think its a dive bar. This is far from a dive bar. When we walked in i couldn’t believe how nice it was on the inside. The bartender dawn promptly greeted us and got our drink started. Bonus points for spud monkeys for having crater lake gin. The menu had lots of great choices. We loved it there and have been a few times now. Thank you spud monkeys for having such a great lil bar.

I meant to leave a review when we came. The food was delicious. The fiancée said it was the best chicken fried steak he ever had. We will be back

First– cool name for a bar! Second– in addition to the usual bar fare, they have really great potato themed items in here. Of course we had to try these. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak potato. It was really good and very large. I forget what my friend had, but it was also one of the special loaded potatoes and it was very good. I would love to return & try some of their other items.

I just discovered this bar and have decided to call this my regular joint to start the night out. Friendly bar staff, great danceable and volume friendly live music. Food isn’t bad at all… They even have a coupe swings at The bar! Cool décor and a pool table in the back with some lotto further back… Not a bad joint at all! Older and younger clientele which is nice.

Second time here and it was just as good as the first. Delicous burger’s, fries and onion rings. Love when you find a good dive bar.

I had a LivingSocial deal for lunch here(which I bought because the name amused me) and decided to try it today. The atmosphere is friendly(they have swings!), the server was nice. But the food? No. We ordered a $ 7 soft pretzel appetizer that clearly came from a freezer and shriveled under a heatlamp and tasted nothing like a pretzel. My baked mac n’ cheese entrée was slightly better, but at $ 9.50 I was hoping for something actively tasty rather than just choke-downable. The neverending fries that came with my sister’s $ 9 reuben were fine(though overly salty), the reuben itself was okay but soggy. What was perhaps most frustrating was that my sister’s cider was listed on the same menu(implying the same price) as my porter. The porter was $ 4.25 and the cider was $ 6(!). I honestly thought $ 20 would be enough to get a meal and a drink at a bar for two people, but our tab after the $ 20 deal was still nearly $ 16 plus tip. Not a good value for the product in my opinion.

What the heck kinda name is Spud Monkey for a bar & grille? Oh, you take monster baked potatoes and then load them with mind-blowing toppings? Yeah, Spud Monkey is a very proper name for this place. Stopped for lunch after having driven past this strip mall location a few times. Not a very big place… sorta narrow with plenty of bar seating and high tables that seat 6 or 8. A pretty decent selection of area taps and a full bar awaits. Also, some pretty good day-bar service from Dawn. My wife knew of this whole tater thing in advance, but the menu caught me by surprise… don’t think I want a potato for lunch, I thought. After chatting with Dawn and a regular sitting near us, my mind was changed… and boy am I glad I was! I had the Buffalo Bleu Chicken potato. Wife had the Beef Stroganoff potato. Both delicious… both huge. the tater and the amount of toppings(we each took half home). We were told the BBQ potato is the most popular… we’ll surely be finding that out first hand next visit!

This started with a groupon and almost didn’t happen since my girlfriend was a little worried about going in. But in a town full of dive bars why not take a chance… plus one of the reviews on Unilocal said don’t judge a book by its cover, which fit exactly. Glad we came in! The staff was nice and attentive. I mean I don’t think my pints ever went dry. There aren’t a plethora of beers on tap but enough to wet your whistle. So this review is based on this place being a bar with bar food… I’m not going here expecting a five star meal but I’ll be damned if they don’t have a mean patty melt in this place. I mean the marbled rye was nicely toasted, the onions melted into the cheese and there was this sauce that I think was like long island but it was delish. The fries were nice and crunchy with season-salt(maybe) that weren’t too greasy. I love a good place with beer, food, and live music… it makes me think of home(Austin). This is a cool little neighborhood spot, it’s not my neighborhood but groupon made it worth it. I think they have a list of when they have live music, but it looks like every Friday and Saturday for sure.
