The Shemanski Fountain tends to be great. It has a beautiful, feminine figure in the middle, with the sculpture topped off by a beautiful red triangle. A large sign includes a print that discusses it, all in a size possibly bigger than a newspaper article. There are plenty of tweakers nearby, so watch out. It is fun to see this. It is a local icon and I wish it the best. This is marvelous, though it really made me want to study hard so that I can visit the Louve one day, but this itself is somewhat short of that. We are rightful for taking pride in this.

Located in the Park Blocks behind Schnitzer Auditorium and installed in 1926 this fountain originally held plantings. Joseph Shemanski added the sculpture Rebecca at the Well later. The fountain structure is poured stone, while the sculpture and basins are bronze. It has 4 fountains for people and four for pets. Shemanski, who donated the fountain and sculpture was a Polish immigrant who became a successful local businessman. The plaza it sets in is surrounded with benches usually filled with people.
