Savvy Hair Studio

I met Stacy while getting my nails done, and being new to Portland, I need a new hair stylist. Boy did I hit the jackpot! Stacy has a great space that’s warm and full of light. Very personal and one on one. Just you, her, and your hair. She’s easy to talk to. I showed up with long frizzy boring hair, and left with flowing sun kissed gorgeous hydrated locks of gold. Great place, great stylist. She really loves what she does and takes her time, and the pride in her work really shows.

stacy’s studio space may appear small at first glance, but she has created a very open and comfortable feel to her studio. she has one of those great, lay-​flat and über comfortable shampoo chairs so that you don’t have to crank your neck back. on top of the already comfortable position that you’re in, stacy gives a great head (and ear!) massage while shampooing.
she takes the time to sit down and listen to exactly what you want her to do with your hair and checks in with you while she’s cutting, to make sure she’s on the right track. (you know you’ve all been there halfway through a haircut and notice the stylist is not doing what you want, but realize it’s too late to speak up!) stacy even takes the time to not just offer you a beverage of choice, but ends your hair cut with detailed style so you don’t ever have to walk out with plain-​jane hair. love :)

Stacey was nice, but she made my hair turn into straw. Small space and now multiple stylist. I’m not going back. This is a honest review, not a friend’s.

Stacy has been doing my hair, and, my families hair for years and is an incredible stylist. I keep coming back because she is so awesome. She creates and keeps a great atmosphere in here studio. I have never been disappointed, and her skill and talent is evident in her work. Thanks Stacy, keep up the impressive work.

Stacy Askew has been my stylist for more than 12 years. I’ve tried others but found her skills are unmatched. She’s always sincere and attentive, with a great eye for style. I can really trust Stacy when I’m trying something new. She’s a true artist and her work is beautiful, you should see for yourself!
