Having something totally different and unconventional done to your hair can be scary. Kate totally made me fell comfortable and listened to what I wanted. She was there for every random question I had before and after. I couldn’t be happier.

Came out for a massage. Was told they wouldn’t do it because I’m recovering from a broken leg. When I made an appointment over the phone, they could have easily asked about any conditions. There is no info about this on Groupon on the website. I regularly receive massage as part of my recovery. I’m sure they have good intentions, but this was very disappointing.

Kate is AMAZING!!! Seriously AMAZING! I met her for the first time when she did my hair and make up for a photo shoot — never met her before but I knew immediately I was going to be happy. She was professional, well prepared, skillful and knowledgeable. She was also super nice and made me feel very comfortable! She is SO talented!!!

Horrible services even though the people were nice to my face. Rushed: it was a multi bleach process and, even though I suggested that we do one more bleach to be sure the color would show, he went and dyed it anyway. Hair color was wrong TWICE. Kept telling me I should choose a different color (which I obviously did not want.) Completely ruined my hair and would not refund me. I do not recommend this place to anyone, especially if you want color done. I suggested this place to my friends while he was bleaching my hair and they were also unhappy with their cut and colors. The person doing my hair should have said how difficult it would be for him to do and then I would have happily gone to a different salon that knew what they were doing.

The facility feels cheap and barely clean, and that experience only worsens as you move back toward the massage room. I have had massage in developing countries that was in cleaner environments that this room. The dirty, ripped armchair was where I was to put my clothing when I undressed. The floor was patches of broken and missing pieces of linoleum. It was totally unacceptable and made me feel uncomfortable. The whole room was this way, and the bathroom was scarcely better. Regardless of whether the therapist was just establishing her practice– and she was quite inexperienced– I blame the owner for the unsavory experience. No one can relax and try to heal in such a unsanitary environment. Disgusting.

I am so thankful I found Salon 658! Kate is amazing with hair! She does it all from cut, color, extensions and more! If your looking for friendly service, fun atmosphere, and top of the line hair services than this is your place! I also love her hair care products! My hair has never felt healthier or looked better than it has since Kate’s gotten her hands on it! Do yourself and your hair a favor and GO HERE!

If you want a cheap, throwaway haircut/​dye job done by a seemingly inexperienced butcher, but the mall is too far away, this is your place. If, however, you are serious about your hair, you’ll walk briskly past on your way to a serious salon.

Salon 658 is friendly, welcoming and a terrific place to get your hair cut and colored. I’ve been going to Kate Nicholson for over 7 years now and she does an incredible job with my mousy brown/​gray hair. She colors it in such a way that it looks natural and if it grows out a bit, there is no obvious root line. Recently she started cutting my very picky 15 year old son’s hair and he loves her too. The rest of the staff is very nice and easy going. This is not a snooty place. It’s very laid back and yet, highly professional. I hope to be going here for another 7 years.
