This salon is Portland’s best kept secret: Kate has remarkable intuition and an amazing talent for hair. I went here with my sister who had heard about Kate from another salon down the street – and Salon 29 was rad as all get out. (The music was nice, too. Who the hell wants to listen to shitty dance music when getting your hair done? This music was like She & Him chill. Very cool.) Tasteful décor, comfy seats, stylish vibe. Highly recommended.

I have been seeing Kate for years! Salon 29 is an adorable and stylish little spot. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair, I have gone from long and dark to short and blonde, she cuts my husband and sons hair. Her attention to detail and expertise is second to none! If you need an amazing and professional stylist then look no further!
