Okay, to be sure I am not the tenant, my adult kids are. They are responsible and decent people. They have been in a unit for 3 years and the crap they have had to put up with from these people is just a nightmare. First off, the unit was not clean when they moved in. It was really bad but they were told that they could wait a month but they needed to move in right away so they were allowed to move into a FILTHY DIRTY place and made to pay the deposit too. Then when Twila took over (someone else was in the office before her) she hounded them about not paying a big enough deposit. They refused to pay more. Then, there is NO clause in the lease about the shared meter for water. The renter does not get to see the bill either and they just BILL YOU. But is it correct? NOPE!!! My daughter finally after months of asking and finally taking them to the housing people she got the bill and it was mathematically incorrect. They were being billed way TOO MUCH. And, when she did not want to pay too much (over $ 1,000 bucks for 3 months) they threatened her with shutting off the water. They have kids, and it is ILLEGAL anyway. So, you will get threatened, they do not follow the laws, and the lease is full of holes but they still hold you to their rules but you won’t know what they are because it is not in the lease. My kids live in a duplex and made friends with the neighbors who moved a while back. Romero and Sons, well really it was Twila, she also threatened those people and took their deposit illegally. Oh, and repairs being done in a timely manner, well that’s a joke too. It took them over 3 months to replace the vent hood over the stove and my kids almost lost their low-​income housing because of Twila. They don’t return phone calls, they are never in the office, they JUST PLAY GAMES WITH THEIR TENANTS. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE COWS!!! They should not be allowed to be low-​income land lords. My daughter put in her notice of moving a short while back and then the hate-​mail started. I was appalled and disgusted to find that someone who calls themselves a professional would even do this. It all seems unbelievable but this all the truth. If you are an owner go somewhere else. These people will not take care of your place and they will ruin your reputation. Romero and Sons should really be called ROMERO AND SLUMS. I would not give even one star to these idiots. They do not deserve to be in business and they will not take care of you they will take your money. It is all about the money with them.

I would be very careful in dealing with this company. We looked at a property, and decided to go a head and have them move forward with the application. As we were leaving the home it was dark and found it hard to back out, because of all the cars lined up along the drive way. This posed some concern, so we e-​mail and called first thing in the morning and asked them to not run our credit, and that we had some concerns. They agreed via e-​mail. When we decided not to move forward with the property, the refused to call us back or e-​mail because we wanted out 80.00 cash back. Then we were told even though we decided against the property Twila the owner decided to have our credit ran anyways. Then she would not call us back. We have to call the maintenance guy that showed us the house in order to get her to respond. She responded by telling me that I am no longer aloud to make contact with her or her staff, and we are out our money and she will not give us a copy of our credit report. She is a thief! She stole our money! They have no Morals, or ethics whats so ever! I would not rent any of the properties that she is involved in. I am now currently filing a small claim, and have reported her to the better business bureau. I will also be looking to file a claim against her license in Oregon.
