Rice Junkies

My first visit when this location opened was ok. I was not sure how to order and wasn’t terribly thrilled with my food. It was fine, but nothing that made me running back in again the next week.
But then I decided to try it again (ultimately, location and promise of fresh really wanted me to like it.) So glad I did!!! I decided to go with a «set» item verses a build your own and got the Thai wrap to-​go. It was delicious!!! A little light on the chicken but it was stuffed with veggies and flavor.
Such a difference from my first experience.
AND this difference made me talk my husband into going with me the following evening. He too felt underwhelmed by the first visit and it took some doing. But once he took his first bite of the Mexi Wrap I knew we would be back very soon.
I wouldn’t call this a Korean restaurant. To me it seems a little more inspired than authentic. But when you know what to order you will be pleased.
The 2^nd and 3^rd visits I worked with the gentleman at the counter and he helped talk me through items I might like. Helped me understand how to read the menu and I’m looking forward to the next visit.
Reducing by one star for consistency… Hope it comes with time and would be happy to revisit the rating if consistency is gained. But 3 times there, 3 different Mexi wraps for my husband. The flavor in my Thai wrap has been fairly consistent but with the difference if amount of chicken.
One thing I learned regarding food… It doesn’t have to be good food as long as people know and can count on what they are getting. Example Denny’s, Starbucks, McDonald’s. Etc.

was bad experience i love Hawthorne branch but this one was really bad i went there for dinner small chicken bowl chicken was small portion i tried the peanut sauce i added to my bowl it was smell and taste terrible i told them all what they did just change the bottle

Went for dinner last night and ordered the dolsot bibimbap. Definitely the best out of any Korean restaurant in Portland. Very clean and nice interior with great service. They have a great menu selection so I will definitely be back for their wraps and wings!

These guys were so fantasticly nice, and attentive. My husband and I ordered wings and wraps. The wings came out moist and hot, perfectly fried… Super taisty! The wraps were fresh and very well done! Wonderful lunch spot!

Very average unfortunately. Chicken was not grilled at all, very bland. Just overall underwhelming in general. What a shame too because we needed a good bento spot in this area. Probably won’t return.
