Like others, I’m sure it’s a wonderful product. I succumbed to the sales pitch but later regretted my decision since I expect to be leaving this house sooner than anticipated and the price for one window was pretty substantial. Maybe if I were going to stay it would be worth it. Maybe. I called four times over about two weeks to cancel and no one ever bothered to call me back. I have cancelled the financing package — thank God I didn’t give them money up front. Likely I’ll have to pay for my mistake of not cancelling within 3 days, but frankly it will be worth it, assuming they ever bother to call me back.

I live in a neighborhood near these guys, so they come around every once in a while trying to hook you into a free estimate. They came around. I need new windows, A LOT. So in a moment of inexplicable naïveté I succumbed and made an appt. A fellow showed up at the house(I wish to God I could remember his name) and I should have seen the«shark» look in his eyes right then, but sadly, I let him in. As others, like Lynette, I went through the awkward, frustrating and time-consuming schpeel, rather appalled that a supposedly reputable company would use such tactics. We got to the astronomical bid part, went through the«oh, I forgot this discount part,» the since you’re so cute I can give you this discount part(not really, but almost), the you’re so obviously poor that I’m never going to get you unless I offer you this discount part, and finally arrived at the long-term financing. Idiot that I obviously am(and desperate for new windows), I agreed to let him find financing for me. This is the killer. You won’t believe this. The man sat there on my couch and told me the heartbreaking story of the little old lady at the coast that couldn’t afford windows and how he finally managed to get financing for her… how happy she was, how dear. THEMANCRIED. Honest to God, he got tears in his eyes. Even I was embarrassed for him. But he promised that he would absolutely get financing for me. He was going to the office and pull all of the tricks out of his sleeve and guaranteed me that I would get financing. He would call me back within a couple days. Luckily for me, he evidently wasn’t able to(if he even looked) because I never heard another word… Need I say more?

I have no doubt that their product is good, but at what cost? Mistake #1 — Signed up for a free estimate while at the state fair. Stupid, stupid, stupid… We have 10 windows and 2 sliders. After the sales guy gave us the schpeel, the«quote» came in at approx $ 48k! He gave it a second to sink in while he gauge if we’d bite. When we said No, he suddenly remembered that there were ‘specials’ that we qualified for. Still a No. After a couple more rounds of remembering new discounts we ended up at $ 33k. He even placed a call to the boss to see what more they could do for us.(Offered long term financing) Sigh… Insanity… As soon as we gave the final No, the mans bags were packed and he was out the door faster than fast. Mistake #2 — Not giving the final ‘No’ three hours prior because that«Free estimate» ate up 3.5 hours of our lives! If you want to play games and overpay for your product then this is the place for you. If you want windows that will be sufficient for the mild Oregon weather and not pay through the nose, go elsewhere.

What a great product. I had 14 windows and 1 patio door replaced in my home. The project was very smooth from start to finish and now in the the winter it is easy to keep my house warm with these super efficient windows. It pays to go with the best. I would highly recommend Renewal by Andersen to anyone and everyone.

During the review stage of order never told that a sliding or window, would be 12 to 16 from order date. Was told whole order to be installed in 6 to 8 weeks. They also fail to clean up in a complete manner. The leave garage doors open and gates after they leave. The office staff never returns calls. I would suggest exploring other companies. Adding today work dec 19 they again left gate open dog gone. Work tools on floor with ladders on top of them. The installation doesn’t care about homeowners. I have video of all this don’t use these guys.

All I can say is WOW and not in a good way. I called to schedule an in home estimate for windows. The guy I talked to seemed nice enough and was taking my information to set up the appointment, then he asked if my husband(or any other«decision makers») would be attending. I said no, but my husband and I have agreed its time to move forward with window replacement and I will be the decision maker and get this done as soon as possible. He then tries to pressure me to change the appointment for when my husband can be available. I am a bit taken aback by the entire conversation and tell him I have full autonomy on the subject so let’s proceed with the appointment. He reinforces that all decision makers should attend and that he will need to speak with his manager. His manager agrees that my husband needs to be there too. Obviously they don’t need my money and I will not step back into the dark ages to accommodate them. Moving on to a company that values it’s customers(male and female)!

I can’t speak to the quality of the company or product. My husband and I decided against using this company for our home window replacement because we were turned off by the sales pitch in our home. We felt like we were on a showroom floor, with a guy rattling off every statistic in the book for 2 hours. He assumed we knew nothing about windows, and that we wanted to know everything and anything about them. If the time was spent on tailoring a speal to my needs(e.g. «design/style/look»), I might have been more receptive to hiring this company. But I’m not someone who appreciates spending 2 hours listening to someone talk your ear off. Henderson and Daughter in Vancouver turned out to be our go-to, and we are very pleased with that decision.

Our primary contact at «Andersen» met with us at our home and spent over two hours answering questions and providing quality information. He was extremely thorough and prepared in providing an estimate, contract insurance certification and Energy Tax Credit information for the sliding patio door. His follow-through with contract, Insurance certification, etc. was excellent. The two man installation crew arrived on time and did an excellent job. They were extremely careful to protect flooring, etc. The job was completed on time without any issues arising. We investigated door companies including the usual suspects, i.e., Home Depot, Lowes, etc. While prices were less expensive elsewhere, we are extremely pleased with the Andersen Door and with their installer. I don’t believe we could have had a more professional approach from start to finish including office personnel who were efficient and quick to respond to questions and concerns regarding scheduling of the installation.
