Rachel Hadiashar

Rachel is simply amazing at what she does. Her photos are timeless, and have a very classic, high-​end feel. She photographed me a few weeks before I gave birth, and despite not feeling at my best, Rachel made me look my best, and I love my photos so much. Her work never looks photoshopped, instead, she really has an understanding of angles and light that flatter the female body, and I would recommend her for women, specifically.

Rachel took some amazing headshots for me. She made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I love the pics. They look natural and they look like ME! Thanks so much, Rachel, for your amazing work and generous and kind spirit!

As a side note, Rachel shot my fiancé for a VERY different style shoot: he’s a rocker-​type who she captured in her studio environment. Instead of looking rough & tumble with his long hair, denim, and tattoos, the images all conveyed this sort of quiet sensitivity that I think many miss when looking at him upon first glance. I LOVE them. I don’t know how (well, it’s because she’s good), but Rachel has done it again!

Rachel has now photographed me and my daughter, separately. The photos of my squirmy yet very serious 3 year are beautiful and fun. She really captured her personality which I was amazed by because my daughter wasn’t really being herself at the photo shoot. Rachel’s photos are timeless, they do not come across as too commercial or too trendy (think instagram) as so many photographers in Portland do. I am waiting, eagerly and patiently, to see the photos she took of me. If my feelings of Rachel’s work change at all (which I doubt it will) I will update my review. Not only are Rachel’s photos gorgeous but she is a very warm person who is easy to be comfortable in front of.

Rachel is fabulous! She has taken photos of my family, my kids, and me (boudoir). In each instance, she has managed to capture, not just an image, but the essence of whom she is photographing. I look at her pictures of my son and see my son’s personality. I see who he is. The boudoir photos she took of me helped me realize and recognize a different part of myself and I am proud to have done them.
She made me feel comfortable and relaxed in what could have been a very awkward position (I mean taking photos in my underwear, not a weird photography pose) and I had fun. It was lighthearted and easy and that is due to Rachel’s confidence in herself and in me as a subject.
I have sent friends her way and will continue to do so. I may even do some more boudoir shots in the future. She is worth it!
