New York can keep their Hudson News. Portland has Powell’s, and this miniature version in concourse «D» is the perfect «last stop» before your flight. Why pay for video entertainment on the plane when you could put that money towards a good book?
Actually, if you won’t have time to stop at the City of Books downtown — and really, you should, or at least swing by the slightly larger store in the airport’s Oregon Market — you could make this your first and last stop in and out of PDX. I always stop by just for the feeling of visiting my Portland happy place one more time.
