*Disclaimer: I worked for this company for 5 years* With that said, I was in the ‘hood and stopped in for a «quick» slice and salad. Ordered a Puttanesca, which they were out of at the moment and dude said it’d be 8 to 10 min. Fair enough. That’s how long it should take to bang out a slice pie right? Got the salad promptly but waited 25 minutes for the slice. I should’ve been on my merry way in that amount of time. The table next to me had also ordered Puttanesca slices well after I had ordered but were served theirs first. Had I gotten mine in proper order I wouldn’t even be writing this. C’mon guys, this is counter service basics here. In the future, on the rare occasion that I do get pizza by the slice, it’ll be Hot Lips or Sizzle Pie from here on out. This would be a 1 star review but the food was pretty good.

Four stars for great food. We had the Thai chicken pizza which is my husband’s favorite type of pizza and the spinach dip. Both came out hot and the crust was perfect. Almost leaned toward three stars because it seemed unorganized. When we walked in they didn’t offer us menus and the only menu on the board is for lunch by the slice. After finding the menu’s they pointed out where the water was which was out and we had to ask for forks and napkins when they brought out our dip.

I am very disappointed in the lack of the management after stopping in this spot over the last years there has been clearly a lack in the attention to dine in patrons. I stopped in tonight with my nieces & nephews to celebrate a birthday. We ordered a large cheese pizza and after 39 minutes we were told the order was messed up. They had given the order to someone else. Clearly management has no priority of this location for locals as a sit down priority. I would clearly recommend going to another pizza restaurant.

I ordered a pizza from Texas for my 11 year old nephew that just got home from a stay in the hospital. I heard that Pizzicato was his new favorite pizza so I wanted to surprise him with some non-hospital food now that he was free! I called early in the day and they got me set up for an evening delivery. The guy on the phone was super cool and even humored my request to write a note inside the pizza box. Thanks guys! You helped me make his day!

I found that after visiting many Pizzicato Pizza places in the city they seem, at least to me to be just a little different as far as layout, preparation, customer service. Some locations are heavy on the salad dressings, while others you have to ask for extra dressing this location is not my fav, the front counter is always a mad cluster.and the wait time is longer than other locations i’ve been to, at least in my experiences. I do like the location and a quick slice in a pinch is convenient.

Dine in, take out, delivery — yes. Pizza, salad, sandwiches and beer. Specials, and appetizers. All good. I’ve had all of the above, all are great, great service. The parking lot is a little weird, if you’re driving you need to enter from Fremont heading west. You order at the counter, and they bring your food to you(if dining in). If take out/delivery it goes as expected.

This neighborhood Pizzicato is a relief from the heat for those of us who have no A/C. The pizza is very good, the salads are fantastic and the staff are the best we’ve found for this type of casual dining. I had the House salad with SHRIMP and was sooo surprised that the shrimp were not the itty bitty ones, but really good size! It is fun for us seniors to watch all the kids with their pizzas — each one seems to have a different way to eat their slices. My favorite: the ones who pull the topping off first, then eat the crust. Fun.

Although I can’t speak about the food, I was so happy to find this spot open on the 4th of July when we were melting and in need of cold beverages. They had ice cold(and local!) beer on tap and a whole selection of fountain sodas for my non-beer drinking friend(who thoroughly enjoyed her icy Fanta Strawberry). The service was super friendly and we were able to really cool down in the Air Conditioning in the heatwave… which felt wonderful. A great little spot!

After not stopping here for years, I decided to give it another try. Puttanesca slice had less than ½ piece of artichoke and 3 small tomato slices. Small salad had 3 small grape tomatoes, a few pine nuts, very little feta, for $ 5.25. Really? DONE going here!

I drive quite a ways on my lunch break from work to get the medium house salad with chicken. At $ 10.95 it’s not cheap but so worth it!!! I swear it’s the most delicious take-out salad I’ve ever had! So fresh! And their pizzas are delicious also. Very artesian with unique and delicious combinations. The seating area is kind of small and cold so I prefer a takeout. And the employees can be vaguely snooty sometimes. But it’s totally worth it for the food, Yum!

I have to update this review to five stars. After my review of the pizza we received the other night, the owner called me and apologized and said our particular cheese pizza should never have been delivered to us. I’m not sure where the mistake happened, but her calling me to rectify the situation is outstanding. No excuses, just a business owner wanting to make things right. I will give them another chance, and I imagine it will be of the quality I’ve always enjoyed. How often does a business owner(not a manager) call you and offer to send you a gift certificate and take responsibility for a poor experience? Not often enough. I can think of a few places that couldn’t be bothered…

Solid pizza and near home. I like the crust it has some flavor and is usually soft. Tastes good reheated too so that’s important. A bit more expensive than some places but quality ingredients and they have a punch card. My next pizza is free. Very good customer service at this one. Sitting here waiting for my pizza and they messed up someone’s pizza order by over cooking so gave him one slice while they redo the whole pizza and also gave him a punch card with a bunch of punches preadded. Only downside for me is its really fluorescent so I only do to go. Oh and the parking lot is horrible, it’s one way and when I was leaving someone was coming in the wrong way. It turned out to be their delivery person, really odd.

If you want a pizza delivered on Friday or Saturday night you better prepare yourself to hear that it will take 2 – 2.5 hours to get your pizza. How does that even happen? Not enough delivery drivers? I would looove to know and understand this situation better. Anyway, the pizza is tasty. The spinach salad is delicious.

Huge, lovely salad! Great crust and cheese on the generous slice. Coke needs recalibrated-as it is not great. Service was great! Thanks!

This what I would label as Portland style pizza. Pizzacato has excellent toppings and a good variety of signature combinations. Their crust is terrific, the right kind of sweet, crunchy and chewy that you need to finish a slice without reaching for your beverage. My personal FAVORITE is the Squisita with the lamb sausage, it never fails to please. Each Pizzacato location will have a unique pizza that they make, find your favorite! Like all good old fashioned businesses, they have a 10 visit punch card, making it worth your while.

There’s a simple way to tell if someone knows how to eat pizza. Or at least you can single out the East Coasters, they fold the pizza. It’s how I grew up and how you’re suppose to eat it. I can’t stand the people who eat it flat or worse, use a fork or knife on pizza. That’s just sacrilegious! I’m sure there’s a point in here somewhere, but I know good pizza when I see it. Going into Pizzicato’s I had higher expectations, because people have reviewed the chain pretty well. Plus you gotta figure they have the word«Gourmet» in their name… so, you know, it should be a high quality pizza. I wasn’t impressed. My favorite part of the meal was the Boneyard Red Ale. Great beer. Average pizza. I got two slices, one with a fennel sausage that lacked any flavor and a pepperoni, tomato and kalamata olive slice that wasn’t half bad, but also nothing that made me say WOW. The crust needed some flavor and the sauce wanted salt. The prices were a bit much for a slice, but was a beautiful night with a nice breeze. My table was on a bit of a slant, so I had to watch the beer. Look, it’s not bad pizza, for some this is the best pizza they’ve ever had. I’m just not one of them. I have high standards and this hasn’t gotten there yet. That is all.

The employees are hit-and-miss sometimes. This time that I came in, the crew was nice and quick. To top it off, they threw in a free slice of what I ordered because it was«too thinly sliced to sell» :) I’ll take it!

6⁄2014: when i arrived, a pizzicato worker was on smoke break and was returning to the kitchen to make pizzas. he did not wash his hands, and just went back to business. i tried to look past this and order, but then the guy who took my money at the register also grabbed my slices and threw them in the oven without washing his hands. just not a good practice to have at any restaurant… Update 7⁄2014: the owner reached out to me and was extremely professional in rectifying the situation with her employees, as well as with me. I will return to give this local spot another shot, they deserve it based on the quick and courteous response by their owners. I will update my rating after returning soon.

I thought it was pretty good for lunch. I had hoped to go to the sushi place around yet corner, but it was unexpectedly closed( Unilocal, you failed me!). So we ended up here instead. My mom went boring with cheese pizza, and I went exciting with the June special pulled pork pizza, and we also split a small Chinese chop salad. Neither one of us was thrilled with the cheese pizza nor the unfortunately flavorless crust, but I otherwise enjoyed my slice — smoky BBQ, yummy meat, fresh corn, and chipotle crema. It has a nice spicy kick, too! Speaking of spicy, the salad had a wasabi bite too — we both agreed it was pretty darn good! Lots of cabbage and carrots, excellent dressing, and crunchy wontons. Not a bad place to end up for lunch, overall.

Overpriced, mediocre, and with attitude. With many pizza options in my neighborhood, sadly, the closest to my house is just acceptable. Overpriced — Well, most pizza in Portland is. They don’t buck that trend. Mediocre — They do use some great ingredients, but they also use some crap ones; the sauce is terrible. Overall, their pizza bores me. Attitude — Was greeted«gruffly» over the phone, put on hold, waited about two minutes, and was hung up on. Called back, put on hold again for two minutes. When I went to pick up(they always seem to quote 1.5 hours for delivery), it was as if they couldn’t be bothered to give me any of their precious time. Again, too much other great pizza in the area to eat at Pizzicato any more.
