Stopped by phở Kim tonight since it was open til 10p and somewhat near by after work. AMBIANCE Great for families and big groups. Wasn’t busy the evening I went. Tables and chairs were nice and clean. FOOD I had ordered a pork vermicelli bowl with egg rolls(usually my favorite Vietnamese dish) and I have it say if was all right for the lack of better words. Pork was a little dry and egg rolls had a sour smell to it that it was kind of unpleasant to eat, but I liked the sticky crispness of it. PRICE Price was reasonable for the bowl, about the average price. SERVICE Customer service was great and it was fast, which is good when you’re hungry! Overall, it was decent, but not my first pick for Vietnamese cuisine. I liked that they opened til at least 10pm.

Phở is gross and the shrimp in the salad rolls still had poop. Last week I took my son for a dinner date. We stood in line to pay, when it was my turn to pay another MAN walked up next to me and the owner helped him first instead and me! Not sure why he did that because he saw I was standing there first. I feel like I was discriminated on because I’m a minority female. There are plenty of phở restaurant on 82nd that are cheaper and they treat all there customer fairly!

Get the Duck soup. That is the only thing I have ever eaten here for 15 – 20 meals… I just like it…

My go-to place for Phở in Portland. Quality is consistently good and the cuts of meat are fresh. The broth is rich in flavor, though in my opinion, it could be a bit beefier. Also lots of other options such as bun and rice dishes(though the latter is only okay in my opinion). They also have a Phở Gia(chicken) noodle special for weeknight dinners. One thing that differentiates this place with others is its clean, inviting décor.

My second experience with Phở. My first was in Georgia. Enough said there. Let’s just say that this place served a delicious phở. The service was a bit bossy and disjointed – but I don’t care. I’m going back for a big bowl of heaven – alone if I have to

The best Phở I have ever had. And I have been to 30+ Phở restaurants. Also, the nicest people and service. Very welcoming to non-Vietnamese and Vietnamese. Comfortable enviorment and clean.

A very clean open spacious restaurant. You wouldn’t think that from the look of it from the outside but inside with the high ceilings is a nice touch to it. One of my favorite places to go for big groups or small groups. The wait staff is consistent they are nice, friendly and knows how to give space. For some reason every time I go here I always have good talks with my friends the irony of it all. But they are so nice to let us just sit there and catch up and talk with each other not pushy like other restaurants. Not only the atmosphere is nice the food here is by far one of the best compared to over surrounding phở places I would prefer to go here any day! The rice and noodle dishes are by far one of the best the meat is grilled and juicy not burnt and overcooked and dry. The rice and noodle dishes are always consistent and I can always get one of these two and know that I won’t be disappointed! Phở here is always on point! I have never been disappointed. The phở bowl here is very basic like other places but the broth is a very clean taste and full of flavor the bowl is a good size with lots of meat. And always give a good amount of vegetables to eat with phở. This place gives a decent size This place is truly comfort food on any day of the week I know I can always come here when I miss home! This place is a great place for a pick me up on a bad day or a hot bowl of phở on a rainy day!

Gave them a try tonight and was extremely unimpressed. My husband’s Chicken phở had so much fat, grizzly and soggy chicken skin in it he had to pick through it to eat it. The beef phở was mediocre but edible. Will not be returning

Today was Christmas eve and I was fiending for some phở. I contacted two of my friends and they both recommended two places: It was phở kim or phở van, but phở van was closed. So I drove from Tigard, a good 34 minutes — to this location after calling and finding they were opening. Clean environment, nice employees, and TVs to watch sports etc. My friend suggested the special super bowl and I went with it. Boy, was it amazing. It came to me quick and I put in the sirracha, chili powder, and the plum sauce and Brah it was good af! I was sweating even though I personally didn’t think it was spicy.

I love this place. It’s my favorite phở restaurant in Oregon. I pretty much come here with my husband twice a week. The interior is very neat and standard. They have very good phở and grilled pork. That’s what we ordered every time. One of my other favorite is bun rieu too! Super delicious! :)

Delicious quick friendly service. I enjoy the phở broth here very much so. Among other things to get here like the rice dishes, vermicelli noodle bowls, chicken noodle soup one of my favorites is the bun rieu. This taste is not for the bland liking folks. There’s full of flavor in this crab/shrimp tomato soup base with crab patties and pork hocks. This tastes delicious in place of bbh for hangovers if needed. I enjoy the setting of the restaurant as well. Tvs are everywhere just in case you eat your phở super slow, which is frowned upon because phở is a relatively quick meal, slurp and go, not eat and linger. They have more people to serve so get outta there!

This place looked nice by appearance but after trying their service and food. Not impressed! I had their teriyaki plate & my friend had their Phở. It was«ugh, blah» Nothing stood out, the waiter barely came to our table. When we were ready to pay we waited almost 20 minutes for a take home box for the phở & wondered when we’d get our bill. After, waving a waiter down is when they told us. «Oh, you pay over there.» I spent maybe $ 11 here, I could of just got fast food for this little service & blan food. Won’t be back here again!

My guy is hungover. It’s raining. I don’t feel like cooking so, let go get some phở! We drove to our regular location only to find out it’s closed(probably health code violations!). UGH! We drove up the street(because there are 100’s of phở places on 82nd). We pulled into the Phở Kim. I will totally agree with a previous comment. The parking lot is creepy but big. There is a front and back entrance. We went in the back door and were seated promptly with a smile. The place is huge with lots of seating. I think it used to be a Carrows or Shari’s or something like that. We ordered the salad rolls. Pork was cooked well. I liked the peanut sauce because it wasn’t super runny. We also ordered the egg rolls. To our suprise they served it with lettuce to wrap around the roll and eat it the traditional way! I ordered a small Phở #3(no tendon or tripe). The broth was delicious and so full of flavor! My husband ordered the large Super Bowl. He scarffed it down. This place is even better than the one that we used to go to. We will definitely be going back.

Probably my favorite Phở place in town. The name alone makes it super awesome. Come on, who doesn’t like saying Phở Kim. ;c) The broth is super tasty and service is always swift. Cannot beat the prices or the serving sizes. The veggies that come with the phở are always fresh.

Unless it’s branded as French-Vietnamese style(somewhat like Silk in the Pearl), it’s difficult for me to distinguish one Phở place from another. The menus are basically carbon copies. Here, the small size Beef Phở for $ 7 was very good. The Avocado Shake was on par with other places. The space is huge and clean, service fast. Parking lot in the back is a little creepy, but big. Three Stars means A-Ok, I liked it, recommend it, and would go back.

I’ve finally been branching out lately for phở, beyond my usual Phở Hung and Phở Oregon, and I think Phở Kim(«Phở Kim? I hardly know him!») is solidly in my top 3 phở spots. I’ll be honest though, no phở joint in Portland has yet to match up to Than Brothers in Seattle. Why no free cream puffs at any Portland phở joints? I like the #5 phở here, and usually get the salad rolls too. The broth is very nice, and they don’t skimp on the slices of meat. And the large bowl is only 75 cents more than the small, so I say go for the large. The Super/Special size is big enough to bathe a baby in. I also really like the décor of the place, it’s much nicer than it looks when you’re driving by on 82nd. Big roomy booths, and not overly-air-conditioned like Phở Hung is normally.

Best phở place in Portland hands down. Broth is amazing, you can really taste the beef and it is well seasoned. Generous portion and you really get a good value out of it. Service is always on point and speedy. Clean and recently remodel interior made a pleasant dinning experience. Basically my go-to Vietnamese food place for both phở and bun. Also get their salad rolls– a must have!
