Good products but really LOUSY customer service and website. I ordered two board shirts on different occasions and both times they were out of the fabric. The telephone customer service representatives can’t tell me if or when the fabric will be in.(I think they outsource their customer service to a service bureau because I heard people in the background answering the phone for another company.) Instead of helping me find a fabric I might like they sent me a refund check. A letter of inquiry/complaint to the company’s CEO went unanswered. What a quirky experience it has been trying to buy from Pendleton.

Pendleton Woolen Mills is a family-owned clothing company that sells wool clothing for men and women; I did not see it in Unilocal search results for«men’s clothing» so I am glad I stopped by for their buy one get one 50% off sale. The description of the store should include«men’s clothing» because about half the selection is for men. The other Pendleton store in downtown sells bedding items as well, although this one also has a few blankets and such. The shirts run a bit large, a medium size being too big for me for one style of shirts they have. I can’t comment on the women’s section, but the men’s shirts come in different styles. They have fitted shirts that run a bit tighter, dress shirts that are a bit looser, and regular shirts. They tend to have the same color scheme for all three styles. For a 100% wool shirt, the price isn’t bad at all; many of the shirts are under $ 125. You can definitely find a rugged northwest look at this store. And unlike other plaid shirts, the colors seen like they stick out a bit more, despite not being bright. They also carry shwood sunglasses, a local brand of sunglasses made of wood. They had a 50% sale on them so I got a pair. I walked away with a couple shirts(one a size small that fit like a medium) and I was happy with the colors and fit. Most of the shirts are better for warmer weather or to wear on top of something so I’ll look forward to wearing it when it gets cooler. They also have a discount where if you spend $ 1000 you’ll get a $ 50 gift card. They give you one stamp every time you spend $ 100. I won’t be doing that soon but neat.

accompanied my parents here one friday afternoon and was struck by the level of service in this store! the sales clerks were super attentive to my parents and didn’t pester me while i sat in a comfy chair and checked my email. if you’re in the market for western wear, blankets, or even just some nice woolen dress-wear, this is the place for you to get helpful service!

I’d never heard of Pendleton before going to Portland, although I understand the brand’s notoriety go way beyond Oregon. This is of on their Portland stores, which sells both clothes and blankets. Their clothes aren’t exactly for me, although if you’re looking for a nice plaid shirt or wool sweater this is a good place to go. Their wool blankets, however, are quite nice, and I was quite tempted to buy one(the large ones go for about $ 150… not exactly cheap but the quality seems great). The staff was really friendly and helpful, and they were nice enough to tell us about the Pendleton outlets, where they told us we may be able to find factory seconds at cheaper prices. Nice store.
