The person who was taking my order, didn’t smile, just said what can I get for you. I said what I wanted and she said that’s $ 4.80. Took my card swiped it. And turned around and made my drink. Kind already ruined the drink I was excited for before I even too a sip of it on this warm day. I’m just sorry to say, she’s one of the reasons that if I see her in the store I usually skip my drink for the day. But today was warm and I thought I’d give her a third shot, but no difference. So back to my old routine. I won’t say names but to her… If you don’t like your job, move on, find something that makes you happy and quit downing others moods.

This Peet’s is actually quite good. It is on the foot of a great big office building that includes many local offices such as those of Mozilla. Tables are a bit limited, however there is some seating and some places to plugin, just not nearly as much of either as there ought to be. Chances are they’ll be taken. Since this is the rich as hell Pearl District, the adjacent Starbucks has offered an evening menu with appetizers for many years now. The food here at Peet’s tends to be good. It was in walking to a local event that I went here. The apple juice juicebox was just a dollar, stunning compared to what Starbucks tends to charge for an apple juice juicebox. The chocolate-hazelnut scone was about $ 2.50 and it was a pleasure to down. It’s close to so much fun. This is however not anywhere near as big as the one downtown, but the area is a lot nicer. This should do the trick.

People that work here are nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. Coffee is consistently delicious. I can get decaf bags of ground French roast here too. Been drinking Peet’s since 1985.

I’d like to highlight that this one-star review is for the Pearl District location ONLY(I’ve left another, five-star review for the Happy Valley location). I’ve gone to this location many times. The service is always mediocre at best, and the coffee often burned. However, it was my last(for good) visit that has me driving way out of my way to go to the Happy Valley location again. When I got my order, it was the wrong size, the wrong temperature(I ordered a hot coffee, but got iced), and had the wrong additions. Basically, every part of it was wrong. I get it, it happens. However, the barista who made/handed me the order nearly refused to correct it. She pointed to the order screen when I told her it was wrong, as if I were the one who entered it. After arguing with me for a little bit, I told her, «If this is all you’ll give me, I guess I’ll have to take it.» At this point she re-made the order, although she gave me a small(instead of the large… which I had paid for).

Kind of disappointed you offer a bagel without tossing it first. Cold breakfast sucks!!! Guess have to go to Starbucks next time

Good coffee, nice staff, terribly slow wifi. Couldn’t even get speed test to load to check how fast it actually was.

I’m glad to report that Peet’s and I have made up and are once again BFFs! After my previous review, I got an email from a Peet’s customer service rep. I was impressed that they care enough to be looking at reviews on Unilocal and want to follow up with patrons about their experiences. With my permission, the rep passed my email address onto the store manager, Kate, who then promptly contacted me. Kate was extremely gracious and positive. I really appreciated that she apologized and assured me that what happened was a misstep — that the Peet’s customer service model that I’ve so appreciated over the years hasn’t changed. Kate said she wanted the chance to impress me and she really did. From this entire experience my confidence hasn’t only been renewed but also strengthened. Good job Kate & Peet’s — count me in as a big fan!

Not a bad place for a coffee! Nice atmosphere, a bit like Starbucks. Coffee was fine, blueberry muffin was wimpy. Opt for the local joint if you can. If Peet’s is the last place open, go for it.

Peet’s Coffee & Tea is a chain. The question is on how does the customers feel when attending to a chain of coffee places. This place is relaxing. It is near Powell’s. If the City of Books is too much then this single link of a chain of coffee places that isn’t the one from Starbucks is a balm to the mind. The mochas are good. There are comfortable seats. One can sit down and relax. There are scones. One sits down with a large mocha in hand and relax. There is a pleasant atmosphere. It’s not an atmosphere shoved with corporate identity, which is ironic, given that this is a lesser chain of coffee places. But for a moment there is relaxation. That is all what matters.

Maple Latte was so good but it’s already been replaced by some other holiday treats. Maple was my fave! :-(Staff here is friendlier than at the OTHER coffee shop, kitty corner from here.

My friend and I decided to stop off at this Peet’s Coffee & Tea outlet where she picks up her coffee beans. Let’s see, if I remember correctly I think you get a free cup of coffee when you buy a pound of beans(Peet’s, please correct me if I am wrong here, don’t want to cause you any trouble). I just thought it was a nice little extra thing to do, pleasant surprise and all. I had my standard Americano and found it to be smooth and tasty as usual, and my friend had her favorite latte to her liking as well. We didn’t stay to drink our coffee drinks in-house(very nice surroundings), but found that the people who work here were pleasant, informative, and professional. It’s a fine place to stop and pick up your energy kick while in The Pearl!

Super nice people working there and a decent cup of chai, plus they have a nice outdoor seating area not on the main sidewalk which is great. However I’d really suggest to the company that they offer more than just soy milk as dairy-free alternatives(almond milk is soooo much better and most soybeans are GMO). Would also love to see some gluten free and/or vegan options to accommodate PDX’s diverse dietary needs. Finally, please ask customers if it’s for here or to go rather than giving everyone a to-go cup without asking — I always make sure to ask for a real mug, which they have, but every single person sitting inside was drinking from a paper cup. Super eco-tacky, Peet’s!

The district manager of Peets, Jon, has a problem that aesthetically challenged people drink his coffee. I should note that the employees in this branch of Peets are pleasant and professional, and I’ve never had a problem with them. So to make them do his dirty work, and in fact, to involve them at all in a personnel problem that’s not part of their store, is a dirty way to operate. Here’s another Bible quote for ya: He who oppresses the poor has contempt for his Maker

Pumpkin latte time Have cozy chai latte or a nice iced coffee, this place pulls there shots of espresso the old fashioned way. They also usually have samples of french pressed coffee available. the crew is always very welcoming and eager to please

I stopped in for a matcha latte after 2 hours of browsing at Powell’s(really works up a thirst!) and it was very good. I was surprised to be asked what kind of milk I wanted(yay, this is not as common as it should be) and whether I wanted my latte sweetened or not. And the baristas were very nice and friendly.

I really enjoy stopping here when I’m in Downtown Portland. I like Peet’s coffee more than the other chains and they have really good tea as well. This spot is more of a grab and go location but there are a few places to sit and in the summer they do set up a few tables outside which is cool. Besides the drinks, I think their pastries are pretty tasty. I feel like some coffee shops get their sweets from Costco or some corporate kitchen. I believe Peet’s gets theirs from a local bakery which definitely makes a difference. There are also lots of cool coffee gadgets and gifts for sale. This location is clean, in a convenient spot and has friendly, efficient workers. I’ll definitely stop by next time I’m in Downtown PDX.

My first order of business upon arriving in Portland from The Great Albany in Upstate New York(do you hear that sarcasm?) was COFFEE(do you hear that seriousness?). I actually made my dad stop at Dutch on the way home from picking me up at the airport. That…is how much I missed decent coffee. Next order of business was hanging out with my long-lost friends. And their order of business was getting me more good coffee. Now – by all means – if Peets were located anywhere in Albany or near Albany, they’d probably receive a resounding five stars, it’s true. But they’re not. So, while my small latte ended up setting me back an impressive $ 2.90(and no tax!!!), I can’t quite shake the bitterness of the pull. It wasn’t awful, but considering that I opted for whole milk, which normally tempers the bitterness, I’m not quite sure what happened. I’ve had Peets plenty of times before, but the coffee was probably masked by sugar. You know! Service was nice and not excessively slow. The cups are recycled! And there’s a fantastic heat lamp outside, so you can sit outdoors when it’s dark and rainy(as usual). This place has its perks, but it just didn’t deliver the penultimate Portland cup I was so longing for. Sad times.
