We only tried 2 savory pies but we would come back again to eat or to stock our freezer with their pre-made, frozen(and tasty!), easy-dinner meals. Couldn’t help singing Sweeney Todd while waiting in line. We visited on National Pie day right before closing, and oh my goodness that poor wait staff. I was impressed by the professionalism and humor exhibited on what is probably the worst day of the year for them. Absolutely recommend. Have also been to their other location which is more for brunch and it was also fabulous(was perfect for a co-ed baby shower).

Excuse me while I eat all the pies. I’m a savory guy, so their sausage rolls are where it’s at for me. Thankfully this place isn’t near my apartment or you’d have to roll me down the sidewalk. Favorite entrée: Sausage Roll Favorite side: Kale Slaw Sweet: to be determined Pros: — the food, of course — friendly staff Cons: — can take a little while for some items(~15 min) if you’re on a lunch break; I recommend calling ahead if you’re in a rush

We drove by this place so many times and never stopped. Took a key lime and it was fantastic! Brought our Pyrex back and got their marionberry and while the filling was great we were confused by the fact the lattice top wasn’t joined/crimped to the bottom crust? Sort of strange because you want a double crusted pie to be together, but still very tasty. Other than that very good flavors and nice old school vibe with the Pyrex and a deep pie. #yum

Every time we stay at the Holiday Inn Express on Vaughan, I make it a point to stop in here! I had a pie shake and it was great! I was craving a milkshake, and they can add any pie you want to the shake! The food isgreat, and the pie is great!

They accommodated our large group with multiple reservations, and were quick with who knows how many water refills on a hundred degree day(though we were inside in the air conditioning it still got a little warm). With a mix of kids and adults, many of us family that hadn’t seen each other in a year or more, it was a tad rowdy and sometimes difficult to get an «I know what I want» out of people, so the patience showed by the waitress was approaching saintly. The food was incredible and we enjoyed everything from the bread, sausage roll, and potato wedge appetizers to pretty much every savory pie on the menu along with a lot of kid plates. A few still had room for dessert and raved about the sweet pies as well. Overall a great eating experience and we were so impressed with the attentive service that made the whole outing as nice as could be!

I’ve been to this location thrice now. I was back in CA when the owner was laboriously churning out pies from her cart window on NE Sandy, so it’s great there are 2 established B&M joints now. Good service, good savory pies. The sweet ones can def be hit or miss on the crust, I find. Enjoyed the steak and tillamook cheese quite a lot. Spinach and feta and sausage rolls also reliable. Great stuff.

I dropped into Pacific Pie solo, and with a Groupon offer. I wanted to order a couple of Frozen Pies to take home. It was a challenging day at work… one that made me count the years to retirement. My mind was on the pulled pork pie I had previously. I ask the server if I could bring a couple of Frozen Pies home with the Groupon. She said we could work something out. The apple pie from the apple farm looked grand, but the strawberry rhubarb caught my attention. I had a bite of strawberry rhubarb pie along with a drink not meant for kids. The remaining pie went in a box. The server handed me two frozen pies… chicken and my pulled pork. The staff didn’t see things all Gestapo with my Groupon, and the service was extraordinary. This place has heart and great pies.

Pacific Pie company was good. The ginger lemonade was delicious, and the service was good. They had lots of yummy sounding options, and things slightly out of the ordinary-wrapped in a crisp dough. How can you go wrong? You can’t, and the flavor was pretty good, once I added salt. Both the mac and cheese, and my samosa pasty were pretty tasteless until I added salt, then the flavor was allowed to come forward in the dishes. Granted, I understand that some healthier folks try to limit their salt intake. To me, however-salt equals flavor. Even the dough on the savory pasty was seriously lacking salt. I will probably go back, maybe get some sausage rolls to go. Their dessert pie was good, and that was ok while missing a little salt. A whole pie is like $ 34 so a $ 4.50 slice feels like a decent deal. Overall, meal prices reflect high quality ingredients, and likely quality preparation-but was still a little spendy for the portions given. This was one of the very rare occasions I had no leftovers. That might not be important to everyone, but I really like my leftovers. ;)

Took my grand daughter to Pacific Pie after seeing«Annie». We both had superb Cobb Salads and Anna finished up with a slice of delicious Silk Pie. Service was great. Food was delicious. We will be back. I want to try the Cornish Pasties which you can buy to take home and cook. The pie case was full of delectable-looking pies of all varieties. The key lime pie looked perfect. I’ll return fore that pie, for sure. I love the fact that one has good salad choices so they can justify the pie for desert.

Wow! Thanks to a Groupon deal, we found this awesome little treasure of a place in SE. While there enjoying an incredible Beef Cottage pie, I just knew I’d be calling them for catering help. After some terrific interaction with Sarah via email and a phone call, Chris delivered a yummy selection of box lunch meals made with the freshest ingredients! They were a huge hit at work! Nothing like making the boss happy. I’ll be calling on them again. Really a nice change from the usual sandwich and chips. I should mention too that the presentation was great and the food arrived hot and on time. Way to go! Looking forward to more Pacific Pie freshness!

I am blown away! Took my Dad and fiancé. We all tried everyone’s dishes. Our savories: roast lamb 5/5, chicken burrito 5/5, steak and cheese 4⁄5. Our sweets: strawberry rhubarb 5/5, lemon lavender 4.5÷5, salted chocolate carmel 4⁄5. Everything was delicious!

Went with 11 friends. It was good. The filling was mega dense and the crust was really thick. Apple SourCream Streusel and Marionberry pie. Make sure you get a glass of milk. You’re gonna need it.

Note the best I never had but pretty good. I had keylime pie. It was very flavorful but kind of heavy. The crust was delicious. The whip cream should of been a little lighter and also sweet not sour. All in all it’s okay.

The ambiance is comfortable and casual, the service friendly and attentive, and the meat pies hit the spot. I had the shepherds pie, and loved that it was topped with sweet potato instead of regular potato. However, there could have been more meat/veggies compared the potato. You can purchase frozen pies to bake at home. I would recommend this place for when you’re craving a hearty lunch. You won’t go hungry! The portions are large.

Pie was very good. In seattle, theres a place call australian pie company and this place was just as good. I got the spinach and feta and it was soft and flavorful. Wish i would have ordered more food from here but we were about to go get lunch so didnt want to stuff ourselves with pie. If im in the area, i would come back.

Cute pie shop! They sell savory & sweet pies, as well as some other food items(sandwiches, soups, salads). We went on a Friday night to grab some dessert. I’m not a fan of pie, but boy were their pies good! We got the Chocolate Black Bottom, Peanut Butter, and the Apple Sour Cream Streusel Pie(warmed). Their coffee was also good(strong) & paired nicely with the desserts. We had a larger group, so they let us put some tables together. The space is actually bigger than it looks from the outside. The staff was very friendly.

Once again service was an issue. Several months ago my table received just plain sloppy and lazy service. But to Sarah’s credit, she got in touch with me regarding a review I posted and made things right. This time the waitstaff was more than capable but overwhelmed by inadequate staffing. Though I must confess some sympathy for management to decide one server is enough so long as it doesn’t get too busy. And if it does get busy, it’ll probably only be for a couple hours. So it’s hard to justify scheduling two servers for the day. However, if it is a busy lunch and you only have one server, it feels like your be processed instead of being waited on. But usually I’m very happy with the service I receive and this visit was a rare exception. Food was spectacular as usual, I’ll still keep coming, though I think I’ll avoid the peak lunch crowd.

My family had a really terrible experience there today, and will not return. After being seated, we immediately noticed that service was very slow. It took about 40 minutes and counting for our appetizers to arrive. By the time they arrived, the rest of my family(with 2 children) had given up and gone somewhere else. I can’t even imagine what kind of time it would have taken to get our main meals. When the appetizers arrived, I was willing to pay for the meal, but no longer willing to eat there. I was told that the service was so slow«because they were so busy that day.» During our wait, there were many empty tables in our section of the restaurant. If they’re going to make excuses about the terrible service, at least they could be creative about it.

Want some delicious pie, a good cup of coffee, and excellent service than The Pacific Pie Co. is for you. Cute place with lots of tables but before you sit down check out the pie selection. I always like visual aids. Decided on peanut butter chocolate pie and I can’t remember the name of the other but it was a rum coffee mousse type pie. Both were YUM. The peanut butter pie was super rich but having a cup of black coffee to sip on, nicely balanced it out. The crust of the other pie was chocolatey and amazing. I could have ate a whole bowl of just the crust. This pie was much lighter and airier. The server kept checking in on us and refilled coffees when needed. We ate right before we went there but I wish we didn’t because one of my favorite things to eat is chicken pot pie which they have in surplus. They have a fridge of savory and sweet pies that you can take home. I will for sure be back for a chicken pot pie and a slice. maybe two of sweet delicious pie!

I looked online to look at my prior review here and realized I have not done one yet; having come here month for close to a year, i was astonished I have not done a review before. This is the only Australian based restaurant I know of in the Portland area. It has been a wonderful find. I have only come in here for lunch. I have had salads and pasties and savory pies. Everything I have tasted has been very good. I have done meat, vegetarian and vegan; all good. Today, Rebecca and I stopped in. I had a sweet potato pastie with curry spice. Wonderful is an easy word to describe it, but does not quite get there. Rebecca had the potato pie; it was cooked just right and served warm. It was very good; mine was great. We topped lunch offer with Blackberry Anzac pie; good choice with ice cream. This place is priced very fairly. It has a relaxed atmosphere. i was comfortable here from the beginning. Great savory pies; great dessert pies. You can eat in; you can buy both savory and sweet to take home. The service has invariably been good and friendly. It is a relaxed place for lunch on a busy day and just over the river from the office. It is a nice break from work. If you have not stopped in, do so. You will enjoy it. I have each and every time I have come.

I came here about a month ago with my fella at around 8pm knowing full well that they closed in an hour. Being a server myself I know it can be a bummer when people come in late, but the server treated us exceptionally! She pretty much gave us a five course meal. We had salad, soup, the beef and mushroom pie, the curried pasty, and a peanut butter chocolate dessert and all were delicious. She even took the time to answer or silly touristy questions as we had never been there before. It was a delightful experience and I’ll definitely be back.

Can’t say enough good things about the food and staff here. I had the Cottage Pie and my partner had the Sweet Potato, Kale & Goat Cheese Pie. Both were delicious. Dinner was so good we bought some of their frozen pies to take home. A couple days later we heated those at home and they were every bit as tasty as those we had in the restaurant. Highly recommended.

The soup chef seems to have changed over the last year. The soups are still good, but they are not as extraordinary as they use to be. The meat pies continue to be delicious. They use high quality ingredients and you can taste it. The spicy kale slaw is one of my favorites there, great texture with a bit of a kick. Lastly, the deviled eggs are divine with their silky texture that is sexy in my mouth. Yes, I said it. Their eggs are sexy in my mouth. Overall, I went from 5 to 4 stars due to the soup changes. Please dont take this as negative. This restaurant is still one of my favorites in Portland.

Came in yesterday for lunch and it was very tasty. I have a slight cold so the special of the turkey pot pie really hit the spot. I got the wedges with the pot pie and it really added to the lunch. We also ordered dessert with my partner dying over the chocolate peanut butter pie. I ordered the pecan bar and was a little worried about the dryness of the edges but I shouldn’t have been worried! It was very moist and added to the texture of the pecans. I would have given 5 stars but service was very, very slow. She was very nice and funny but we were there for over two hours and it was only four of us. Overall I know we will be back and we will definitely get some pies to take home!

This was an okay experience for us. Staff was friendly but not overly so. Food was pretty good but certainly not great IMO. We split an appetizer of the mini pasties. The pasties themselves were quite good but the yogurt dipping sauce was so strongly flavored that it was overwhelming. Easy on the spices, guys… I love spices but I couldn’t even taste the food, especially something with more delicate flavors like spinach and feta. For the main course, DH had the sausage roll while I tried the chicken pot pie with a salad. The Asian-inspired dressing was tasty, but I have to admit that I was pretty let down by the chicken pot pie. The crust was a little overdone on the outside but was very flaky and tender. Unfortunately the chicken pot pie inside was lacking in flavor, and all of the chicken was dark meat. Not really what I was expected but it wasn’t bad. Overall, it was an okay experience but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

My wife finished a pie making class at this place and brought an apple pie home and it was really good. So I had high hopes. Service was fast and good. We ordered a mixed green salad, the sausage roll with potatoes, and the chicken pie. The sausage was nothing special and the pastry made it dry. A juicier spicy-er sausage would have been an improvement. Potatoes were broasted wedges. They were good but a bit dry… Probably cooked earlier and reheated? Our highest hopes were for the chicken pie. The crust was good… but not great. And the chicken was bland. I know pot pie is supposed to be on the bland side but this was really bland. So we may return for a fruit pie but not for dinner.

3 stars for the lamb based pie. Tasty, but HELLA small. The Mac and cheese had absolutely no flavor and had extra chewy bread crumbs on it. Don’t people use cheddar or some other sharp cheese anymore??? Salad, good. To sum it up, those 3 items came out to 30 big ones. This Inner East Side pricing is driving me to the Outer. I can count on my hands how many establishments are left in Inner P that still give you large servings of good food for a decent price. Jeezus.

First off –the pie case as you walk in was a feast for the eyes and made me want ALL the pies! Tough choice but I went with the Bourbon Chocolate Hazelnut Pie al a mode– and it was a great decision! Amazing filling, and generous scoops of ice cream made the al a mode add on a great deal. Dining companions had Key Lime –good but not great, and the Raspberry Chocolate Ganache– really rich but wonderful for getting your chocolate fix on. My only criticism is the crust. My preference is a tender flakey crust. Delicate enough to melt in your mouth while still retaining crunch. This crust was a thick substantial plank that was heavy and thick enough to allow you to pick up the slice and eat it hand-held if you’re into that. My mom & granny –sublime pie bakers would not be impressed. So, while the filling was amazing I deducted stars for tough crust.

Came here the other day on a whim with a serious hunger. Bf and I ordered the classic chicken pie, mac and cheese, and a steak and cheese pie. Boyfriend seemed to enjoy the steak and cheese pie, though there were only 3 pieces of steak in the whole thing. Everything seemed to take a while to come out, but that could have just been because I was so hungry. When the food arrived, the mac & cheese was still frozen in the middle. I pointed it out to our waitress when she came by to check, and her response was puzzling. She apologized, then asked if I’d like it taken off the bill, a different side, or a piece of pie — no offer to heat up the mac or get another order. Thought that was bizarre… we chose to take home a piece of marionberry pie, which was pretty tasty. The chicken pot pie was kinda lukewarm, and the filling was mushy. It appeared as though the roux for the sauce«broke» and became grainy after being frozen and reheated(assuming here, as they have most pies available frozen out front). Overall a very«meh» experience. Not rushing back here.

Wow! We had the steak and cheese pie and the pulled pork pastie and they were both much better than I expected from a pie place. The pie crust was flaky and buttery and I love the little animal cutout they bake onto the top of it. It’s so cute I almost didn’t want to eat it. But I did eat it… in like under 3 minutes. So, so good! Super fast service, too!

Per the suggestion of the server, I got the beef & mushroom pie over the chicken curry pie during happy hour today. It was really, really tasty. I never eat savory pies and was really looking forward to this treat. I will agree with other reviews, I did have to supplement some of the flavor with spicy mustard or aardvark sauce — but it’s also a really simple pie? I’d like to come back and try the curry pie, it sounds like it’d be a little more complex in flavor. But their happy hour is a serious deal — $ 9.00 for a pint and a pie, when regularly I’d be paying around $ 15.00. Today, I paid $ 14.00 during happy hour for a pint & pie + coffee & pie. Such a good deal! My one downside: the dessert pie was blackberry white chocolate — it was a little gelatinous and had an unexplainable flavor in the berries. I wish I had gotten the chocolate bourbon hazelnut. Next time.

I fell in love with pie. I never thought it would happen. This place is fantastic and the pie was out of this world. I got the sausage roll and could have died happy… but heaven got better with the salted caramel chocolate torte I had afterwords. The only thing slightly off putting was finding a tiny little bug in my salad greens. I showed it to the server and she replaced the whole plate immediately. It wasn’t really a big deal… I’d rather have bugs in my greens than chemicals… but in the end I was more impressed with how they handled it. Can’t wait to go back and try something else next time.

The beef and mushroom pie was my favorite. The spinach feta pastie wasn’t my fav but it was ok. The steak and cheese was pretty good, my 12 year old loved hers. My son loved his sausage roll. On each plate was a little yummy salad with a delicious vinegrette. We also got desert which was yummy. The main disadvantage is that the pies IN the restaurant all come in one size. They do offer a large pie to go to bake at home but not on the eat in menu. One other issue is that the soup special came out kind of weird, loaded baked potato. The kids liked it but personally i don’t think they should have served it. The consistency came out weird and thick and separated. I’ll definitely be back to get the family size beef and mushroom to go.
