I was dealing with chronic and increased spine pain for the last 18 years. A sports injury followed by a car accident, followed by childbirth (twice) and all the lifting, twisting and bending that kids warrant had me in a bad place. An MRI indicated that I had spinal stenosis and was a good candidate for surgery. I worked with Dr. Yoo and his team and had decompression of my L4/​L5 and spinal fusion. The nerve pain (tingling and numbness) that used to crop up after only minutes of walking or standing is gone! While my back is still gaining strength, I am so thankful.
Throughout the process the group here has been professional, kind and patient. Dr. Yoo is thoughtful and explains things in a way easy to understand without medical training. I highly recommend Dr. Yoo and OHSU.

Make sure you do the online survey (how has pain affected your life and where it hurts) BEFORE the appointment. They are a little uppity about it.
Also verify your current medication and double-​check that they erase the old ones. The PA-C’s are a little scattered.
I’ve seen Dr. Hart (Spinal Surgeon) and Dr. Siebel (anesthesiologist). I like both of them, they are competent and knowledgeable. I like they suggest different treatments before even considering surgery.
