Don’t usually leave reviews for corporate stores, but I have to say, this locations customer service is top notch. I was in the market for an office chair, seems simple enough, right? Their selection was impressive. The salesman asked all the right questions and was very helpful, all without being pushy or generic. Got a great chair at a good price and he even helped me load it in the car! Thanks, man!

On Saturday JUNE6TH at 6:45pm we had the unfortunate opportunity to witness the reason that so many businesses won’t be around much longer. All we wanted to do was to send a small package by ups. Since their website and others directed us to this so called retail establishment, we believed that our errand wouldn’t take long. Since the office max closes at 7pm we had to hurry. The first two less than helpful staff members didn’t even know what UPS was let alone how to help us in the slightest. One of them even said, and I quote«good thing I’m leaving work right now since I can’t help you». Are you kidding me!!! Then a «manager» asked if we needed help. Thinking that a national chain would know how to put someone with some intelligence in charge. Good lord were we wrong. We had managed to get our parcel almost ready to ship on our own and we asked the«manager» for a piece of packing tape. After a few long moments he blurts out«It’s in aisle 4, mailing supplies». He almost sounded unsure. We asked for a small piece. Apparently full service ups shipping location doesn’t include tape. He then asked«is there anything else I can help you with?» Um … You’ve yet to help with anything. Office Max should be embarrassed by the idiots they have running their so called business. What a joke.

Seriously, am I writing a review for a store that sells office supplies? Yes, yes I am… that’s how good the service is I received today. Went in because I was hoping… praying… on the verge of begging that they would allow me to do an in-store exchange for an obscure item I ordered online(large commercial toner, not sold at retail locations) and I was thrilled that managers Bryan and Lloyd had no problem helping me out. They welcomed my return and then assisted me in picking out new merchandise. Everyone at the store was welcoming and friendly and never made me feel burdensome for returning online merch. in store. The level of service I received today was such a rarity, Officemax is lucky I didn’t recruit these two to come and work for me! This location rocks, and I will only be visiting this specific Officemax for all of my needs in the future.

This place needs some seriously help with customer service. I went to the copy center and the girl asked me what I needed, I told her, and she said she was in the middle of helping someone else and she couldn’t get to it for about 15 minutes. Fine, no problem. So I waited, and waited and waited. About 20 minutes later she had another employee approach me and tell me that the machine had been broken all day and they weren’t able to make any copies right then, but they could take my order and make my copies in the next few days. So I had waited 20 minutes for nothing and I was ticked that she didn’t just tell me that from the beginning. I had to go back another time and the girl in the copy center this time was trying to help three customers at once, which was a disaster. I got my copies made properly, but it was a headache. Obviously they need a little better customer service training.

Every time I go into this Office Max I have to wait FOREVER in line to check out. They have multiple employee’s running around the store asking people if they can help them find something, but when it comes to check out, the customer service ends there. Usually only one person working the register, and is generally the biggest idiot in the store.
