I’ve been a customer for quite a while, until I discovered another cleaner who was half the price and even better service. Another cleaner is no longer in business anymore due to the landlord of the commercial building closing down that portion of the strip mall. I am back at Oakstreet cleaners. And they are fairly pricey in comparison to other cleaners around town, and overall they do a pretty good job of cleaning impressing your clothes. Recently I had dropped off some shirts for cleaning, and they lost a shirt of mine and they won’t own up to it. I understand things happen, but put some effort into locating the shirt within your very full store or work with me on it. As a customer who frequents the place fairly often, I would expect a little better customer service than that. And nobody wants to lose $ 70 shirt due to careless business practice like that. Moving on to a different cleaner closer to my work.

People ask me all the time where I take my vintage clothing to be dry-cleaned. Well, hold on to your seats… this is it! Oak Street Cleaners been handling all my vintage dresses, coats, suits and scarves for the past 4 years and has yet to destroy anything… and that saying quite a lot. I bring in at least 10 items a week. That being said, I might be their favorite customer:) They are very helpful and friendly and always carry my items out to my car. Just make sure to them your item is vintage and to be extra careful. They even do complimentary repairs. BONUS: Jamba Juice is next door.
