This place is not even worth stumbling into at the end of the night. Seriously. Just because the place is classified as a dive doesn’t give you a license to be a jerk to everyone. Seriously, being ignored and or abused is not something any paying customer SEEKSOUT in a restaurant or bar. If you hate being a bartender, might I suggest a different career? The inside is super meh, and god knows I would never want to sit at the bar(not sure you can actually), so the patio would seem like the place to go but it is 90% people smoking and that’s a massive turn off for me and probably any other non-smoker out there. There is literally nothing good about this place so… hard pass forever, Momo.

Sir Thomas and company have treated me well for the last 10 years. Good drinks fair prices. I must say; however, it is a BAR and if you want excellent service from the best, get outta line and go to said bar. They have an amazing staff but show ‘em the love they truly deserve!

This place sucks. Service? What’s that? Doesn’t exist. Food is horrible! I could write 5 reviews while waiting in line just to get a beer. And… it does smell like pee. Outside seating is all for smokers too! Yuck!

Terrible customer service. Kind of smells like pee inside. Rude bartenders. I’ve gotten grief there twice now for bringing my dog to the back patio area. Both instances they told me that there is rat poison back there and they don’t want to be responsible for it. I understand that, but my dog is a service animal and I have a prescription to keep her with me at all times. This last time when I explained to them I have a prescription they needed to see it. I walked home and got it to prove my point, but did mention to them that it’s completely illegal to ask someone for their prescriptions even when they’re for animals. At this point they told me they were not going to serve me and I needed to leave. Completely rude! I won’t be returning even though it’s the closest bar to my house. I don’t want to spend my money somewhere where I’m treated like that.

We really liked this place. There’s plenty of different seating areas to kick it. They’ve got a daily HH which is always a plus including $ 2PBR if you’re feeling classy. Our favorite was the Metallica pinball machine! This thing was hella fun and not one of those ones that takes your $ in two seconds. The workers were friendly. We’ll be back

This is one of my favorite bars in Portland; definitely my favorite spot in Downtown Portland. Used to come here almost every day for happy hour while a student at PSU and I’ve never once had a less than awesome experience. On sunny days the patio is wonderful. On rainy or cold days it is too as long as you can snag a spot under one of the awnings. The staff are some of my favorite in town and they are always playing the best tunes in here. The food is pretty alright too. Got a great grilled cheese. Also — one of the best classic margaritas.

Cheap drinks, fast, friendly service and a decently clean bathroom makes this a solid downtown bar choice. The outdoor seating area is great– but the sheer number of smokers out there keeps me from loving this place. The patios pretty large, but with so many people smoking it just fills the area and there’s no escaping it. The food menu is also tiny. Not a bad choice for a couple quick cheap drinks.

The bartenders here are knowledgeable and quick to serve! You have to order from the bar, they don’t come by your table. There’s a huge patio and the quesadilla is satisfying and comes with a heap of guacamole. Definitely a Cool place to come and sit under the cover to watch the rain while you drink beers.

Love this place. Very hole in the wall type. Great drink prices, and the outdoor seating in the back is awesome! Even during this time of year! Can’t wait to spend some time there in the summer. Overall and awesome and super chill bar, and would highly recommend to anyone that just wants to relax, have some drinks and enjoy themselves!

Momo is definitely a bit of a dive, but I’m a fan. I popped in with a friend to grab a beer before catching a movie, and it was great — busy, but not too crowded, and it’s a great environment to just hang out. I got a pint of Local Logger Lager, which they have on tap, and it was really cheap. Great place to pop in if you happen to be downtown and want a cheap and casual drink.

We randomly ended up here last night, after a bad experience at Shift Drink. The bartenders were laughing at us(rightfully so) about Shift Drink and told us a few recommendations around town that have since been forgotten, whoops. Anyway, I’ll definitely be returning to Momo.

Horrible service and smells funky in there! Bar is dead inside. Food selection isn’t good. Better to go to jack knife which is a few blocks away.

My(not so) new living room. Love you guys! Also anyone who has written anything bad about the bartenders can shove it and go elsewhere. We don’t want you here. Chances are, you’re the one with the problem, not them.

Great outdoor bar area. Drinks were really cheap. Nice outside seating. Pool table. Can’t really complain much about this place. Swing by to start off the night right.

This is my favorite dive in Portland. I almost actually didn’t want to write a review because I didn’t want others to know how great it is and make it too crowded. So respect the honesty and don’t blow it up too badly. ;) I lived a few blocks away for a couple of years and now that I have moved I am really missing it. Only good things to list: * The service is always outstanding; super nice, friendly, funny, and helpful staff * Super secret squirrel patio that is adorable * Great non-watered down drinks for less than the watered down drinks at other establishments in the area * Chill crowd, I have never seen one of the following here: pretentious snobs, 21 year olds, scary old bar flies, or crack heads. If you are somewhere in the middle of all of these you will be right at home ;)

Cheap happy hour drink prices and fast service. Great for groups. Patio looks cool and I’d like to sit out there but it’s super smokey from all the smokers who flock to a place with nice seating. Unfortunately; if you’re not a smoker your going to be miserable out there. The staff are stand offish and, though attentive, seem to ‘play favorites’ in the most inexplicable way. Haven’t tried the food but the Nachos do look amazing I’m really there just for the drink.

The patio area here is really nice, and the staff was so sweet. They have a ridiculously good grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and some other stuff on it, and the waitstaff had our check ready in a flash. No waiting! My kinda place, will definitely be back!

Fabulous happy hour prices(and they extend later than most), friendly staff behind the bar, Boneyard RPMIPA on tap at the time of my visit, dark and interesting interior. And then… dun, dun, dun… you find the back patio. One of the best. Ever. So why the three star review? This nonsmoker isn’t a fan of inhaling 2nd hand smoke, no matter how cool the patio is. Otherwise this would have been a 5 star review.

This place has a great space but the door man and service just plain stinks. Visited with locals and the front just smells of cigarettes as you walk in. Nothing special here and plenty of other options around town. I wouldn’t waste my money here net net.

This is not a fancy hotel bar. This is not a sports bar. This is not a 5-star restaurant. Don’t fool yourself pretending that’s what this is, cause it’s not. Momo is a dive bar in essence without the dive bar smell, great atmosphere, great seating, awesome company, stiff drinks, fantastic prices, and reliable, friendly(yes friendly!) staff. But they’re human too, not mindless bar servants. If you’re nice and respectful to them, you get that right back. I can’t say how much I love this bar. I miss the days I called it my living room when I was a two minute walk away. Phenomenal drink prices for the location and knowledgeable and friendly bar staff. Only bar food on the limited menu, but if you want bar food late at night, this is the best! Highly recommend the polish sausage and the nachos. Be warned, order the nachos with friends cause you’ll need several hungry people to kill them. Add bacon to your quesadilla for a «treat yourself» touch. Back patio is killer, and HEATED, and now the addition is open in the main bar meaning more seating. Hooray! Overall, awesome bar, welcoming casual clientele, so casual and down to earth I wrote many a school assignment and even a thesis paper here. Conversations range from typical to ultra nerdy to downright drunk. You can walk in this bar alone and leave having met a half dozen new, nice people within an hour. You can also walk in this bar alone, and if you want to be left alone, people all respect your wish for peace. No bullshit bars are very rare downtown.
