McCoy Millwork

Like other reviewers have stated– I walked in and was completely ignored. Three people sitting around not doing anything and none of them even said hello. I couldn’t get anyone to stop looking at their phones and help me.

Not sure where those previous reviewers shopped– we’ve been here twice recently and staff was helpful, friendly and not at all pretentious. We were looking to match trims on a 90 year old building (not an easy task). Online catalog is super detailed and we jumped for joy to see the profiles we thought were unobtainable are still in production at McCoy!
Took in our snig-​snaggety pieces of old trim into this fine establishment and they fixed us up with an exact match. Prices were much better than the local competition (we checked) but the lengths can be random so it takes some figuring to get what you need without wasting.
My dear hubby is never one to make a quick decision in finalizing a purchase and they’ve been so patient and professional each visit. Add in a sweet dog, a dinosaur busting through the wall, free local coffee, and all the vintage trim your heart desires and you got a winner in my book!

Customer service was horrible. We were looking for ideas for our fireplace mantel and the big guy with little circular black glasses insulted my wife when she asked «what types of modern or contemporary ledges do you have?». He responded by saying «you need to have a better idea about what your looking for before you come in here!» Also — for specializing in mantels and other wood materials, they had a pretty poor selection (only 6 different mantels to choose from). Go somewhere with nicer staff and better selection.

This place is great, it can get pricy, but that’s what you get for wanting nice things. The staff and place is not pretentious as others have stated. McCoys is geared for professionals it seems, but I’ve heard the staff help many, many uniformed customers over the years. They help customers find solutions or match profiles with a professionally that is rare to find.

Horrible customer service. I saw at least 4 employees and none of them bothered to say «Hi» or ask if I needed assistance. To be fair, there were at least 2 other customers… I guess they both had a huge order. 5 minutes later, the store was empty except for one employee eating at his desk and one at the counter. When I walked up and said «Hi», the gentleman only looked up with annoyance. What a disappointment after reading some great reviews. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Wow… what a pretentious place.
My husband and I stopped in yesterday to look at some beadboarding for our kitchen remodel. and we were not greeted/​ignored as we waited patiently at the counter… and later greeted snottily and ignored. It was really bizarre. Ummm… really? I will not be passing along positive reviews to anyone about this place. I’m super easy going and never normally have major issues with establishments but this one is terrible.

Helpful, helpful, helpful! I’m not experienced enough to tell you if the pricing is competitive, but they sure are nice. Did I mention how helpful they are?

As a stair builder I need a location to send my clients to see samples of stair parts and systems. McCoy’s has a huge showroom for stair parts and moldings. If you need ideas on what to do with your stairs this is the place to visit. They can also recommend carpenters and contractors for you projects or help the DIY’ers. Their service is above standards and if they don’t have it they can point you in the right direction. It is worth the trip.

When it came time to replace the porch floor on our 1920’s house, we knew we wanted quality lumber. Luckily, our window guy told us about McCoy. The tongue and groove lumber we got is gorgeous, and went in beautifully.
They have everything else you would need for a vintage house – beautiful moldings, railings, screen doors, etc. What really stunned me were their lovely mantels in a multitude of styles – if you have an ugly mantel, you need to hit McCoy stat!
