Overall what makes Lowe’s better than Home Depot is the staff. They will look you in the eye and ask if you a have a question. They might not know what you want to do or how to do it, but they will at least get you in the right aisle with the products you are looking for. But price wise I have never noticed a huge different between either of the big corporate stores. This store is pretty well labeled to find most things and I have always met pretty nice staff even when I have a stupid question. A couple of times I have gotten stupid answers, but for the most part they have helped me with my issue. The shopping center is fine. There is no other big draw to the area now that they lost Full Belly Deli. If Lowe’s was smart they should have made sure they stuck around there but I digress. If you need a big box home improvement store this is the first place one I go to.

Horrible customer service. I went in with my friend to buy some gift cards when we were followed around by the morbidly obese, malodorous general manager. We initially tried to check out at one register which she barked at us was closing and directed us to another. We were in the middle of checking out with the clerk(who had no problem with our race or method of payment) when i smelled a foul odor and realized that this beastly woman was standing over me. She started asking about what my transaction was, which i took as insanely aggressive, and at that point i decided i was not going to drop 100 dollars in that disgusting store. i told the clerk to cancel my transaction and i told her i would take my money elsewhere. I dont know what her name was but she needs a class in customer service, racial profiling(we are latino and she took an interest in us the entire time we were in the store), and just bathing in general(so serious about the smell not trying to be rude).

Awful experience in this store today. They wouldn’t honor an online order and tried to pass it off as a third party website issue. Then they refused to cancel the order so the pending charge would go away on my credit card. Basically everything Brian said below in his review is true. They are morons. Will not do business there again.

Phenomenal customer service today. Despite a complicated product issue, it was an easy return, without my receipt, and every staff person leading to the final transaction was wonderful. They just earned a loyal Lowes customer. Thank You!

We’ve been coming here to get stuff for the new house largely because we had a number of gift cards. I won’t be rushing back though: Cons — the staff are, by and large, morons and/or actively unhelpful. Experiences include — They did not tell us we needed to purchase hoses for our washer. They did tell us re the dryer cord so I don’t know why they couldn’t do this. — them losing our appliance manual(we had returned with questions) — both my wife and I had experiences with two different staff that had an attitude. Both were young and probably part-time but that’s no excuse. Pros — pretty good on price — even allowing for the gift cards we were still able to get our appliances within the budget we had, and most of the other stuff we’ve bought seems competitively priced. — the delivery guys were great — stayed around while we dashed to the hardware store to get the hoses the store staff had neglected to tell us we needed. They get two stars rather than one largely cos of the delivery guys
