Lookin Good Laundromat & Cleaners

Wicked cheap and right next to the co-​op… people have been friendly to me.

Lookin’ Good Laundromat is nothing fancy but gets the job done. I try to do laundry during the week to avoid the weekend crowd. This laundromat can get busy, though there is no way of really knowing. However, I did once overhear the attendant saying that Mondays and Tuesdays tend to be less busy while Wednesdays are «crazy.» The staff minds their own business and is not overly friendly. Good thing is that they are willing to give you change when the coin machines are occupied. They sell laundry detergent and have a couple of seats available if you plan to wait. Affordable prices for both washing and drying. Last wash is rather early (6pm), so laundry day does take some planning ahead. Since I live in the neighborhood, I will continue to visit this laundromat for convenience purposes.

Don’t care for this place much. Way too crowded and they have nasty managers. They assume everyone is stupid. It’s a shame.

I would strongly, strongly advise NOT going to the Lookin’ Good Laundromat. Over the summer, an incident happened there where a man was yelling in my face and being physically aggressive; the laundromat attendant did nothing. Today, one of their dryers destroyed an important clothing item of mine. When I returned to get my laundry, there was a passive aggressive note on the dryer from an attendant accusing me of removing items from the dryer (it was empty when I put my stuff in). The attendant then proceeded to yell at me and asked me where I had put the stuff in the dryer. When I told her the dryer had been empty, she asked if I was sure. She then angrily told me that there was shredded fabric throughout the machine (but did not seem to care that my belonging was destroyed); I apologized to her. I then left the laundromat and she followed me out into the parking lot and continued to scream at me about the fabric. There are some courteous and helpful attendants there, but I would say don’t go there if you want a reliably peaceful laundry experience.
