Atmosphere is pretty chill. Nice patio out front. Had some seasonal brews and enjoyed some great people watching. Everyone in my group was satisfied with their food — the clear winner was the cabin chicken sandwich. I thought the gorgonzola bacon fries would be amazing but they were crunchy and extremely greasy… I actually felt somewhat crappy after eating about a third of them. Service was amazing — frequently checked in on and served amazingly quickly each round. Great location, plenty of parking nearby.

This is a great place for lunch, dinner, or a quick snack. It’s a great casual Enviornmental. The food is excellent and the prices for food and drink is very affordable. Fun place with great staff.

Great atmosphere. Local place with amazing food and beer! If visiting Portland a must stop! Always great service with a smile. Outside dining with shelter and heaters. Did I mention very dog friendly.

Our neighborhood favorite bar/wing-night. The staff is friendly and remembers you! Sometimes I wish they wouldn’t run out of wings on wing night so quickly but it’s just a testament to how good the wings are so I can’t complain. :)

First time there. Service was a little spotty. But they were pretty busy but maybe a little understaffed. I had French onion soup and I was wishing the bowl was a little larger and flatter so I could lick it. It was amazing I hadn’t had French onion soup in years and this one will bring me back. Friend had. Coconut soup daïs it was very flavorful and not real heavy. Burger looked amazing. For sure will be back

This place is cool for happy hour. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. They have pretty decent average bar food and good beers to choose from. You can have some appetizers, snacks and beer with another person easily for 20.00 during happy hour.

I want to say the food here is really damn good, I had the lamb burger and it was juicy and full of flavor. The beer is pretty much whatever and the service was really slow.

Seemingly a beer and bar-food joint, I was shocked to try Lompac’s special of the day, a cod salad(as a human person who barely likes salads), that I still, months later, crave. Overall, I’d recommend Lompoc, as a bar with consistently good service, fair pricing and average house brews. The space is cozy but if it’s a nice day, enjoy a meal on the patio(be forewarned, it will fill up as will parking along 23rd). And certainly, if they’re offering a cod salad, order it.

Absolute shithole with generic food, generic beer, and some of the douchiest patrons in NW Portland. Don’t go here unless you want to be surrounded by scum.

I would love Lompoc so much more if it wasn’t on 23rd. The volume of lousy, impatient drivers constantly whizzing by lends the entire place a slight, intractable air of chaos that it would be so much better without. That said, this is a solid tavern: — Staff are generally friendly and welcoming. Definitely more attentive service indoors than on the busy sidewalk seating area. — Excellent beer selection both Lompoc and guest brews on tap, with amazing deals on Sundays and Mondays — Miser Monday $ 2.50 pints are pretty hard to beat. — Reliably decent food. Not a culinary wonderland. Just some nice fried snacks, decent burger and nachos(chip quality varies between a B– to C+, however), passable salads. Pass on the mac and cheese, though. Mad oily, mad $. — Dog friendly! Generally at least 2 – 3 dogs hanging out on the sidewalk anytime I walk by. Overall, this is a really solid spot if you’re looking for something more low-key on the north end of Trendy-Third Ave.

This place was pretty cool and quirky. I’d love to come back and try more of the food and beer. There was no AC and it was pretty much boiling on the steamy summer day. Other than hardly being able to sit inside without constantly fanning myself it was fun!

Enjoyed a nice lunch here during a recent visit to PDX. My husband was in town attending a conference, and I tagged along so I could spend some time wandering the streets of my favorite slightly-warped city. I was in the always-fun Alphabet District at lunch time and happened upon the Lompoc Tavern. I was intrigued by Cajun Chicken Sandwich and so went in to try one. Told to sit anywhere, I nabbed a cozy booth in the corner. I was waited on almost immediately. Food and drink were brought in a timely manner. My sandwich was tasty as were the accompanying fries. The bun, said to be from the Pearl Bakery, was exceptional. The best thing about the Lompoc Tavern, though, to me, was the service and overall ambiance. Some places are not particularly hospitable to a) a woman by herself who b) is not drinking alcohol at that particular moment. But, I was completely comfortable here. The servers were very friendly and kept my iced tea glass full on a hot summer day. I was never made to feel anything less than welcome and appreciated. A overall very positive experience. I would definitely go back.

The food here was really good. The kitchen staff is the only thing holding this place together. The service was terrible. We were forgotten about by multiple people, they finally brought what we asked for at the end of the meal. We were never even given water! It’s sad that the food is so good, but I wouldn’t eat here again with service like that.

Patrons beware. I had $ 20.25 tab but then when the waitress came back with my credit card and form to sign, the bill was now $ 24.00. She added tip and I did not know this(until I reconciled my credit card bill) as I was too engaged with my company that I did not realize it. I then added $ 5.00 to the tab as tip, leaving me with a $ 29.00 bill for a $ 20.25 tab. I’ve noticed bars will tend to do this to ‘cushion’ the tip, which was why I have been reconciling my credit card bills. It’s unethical and everyone should be on alert.

Um hello. $ 2.50 pint night! Enough said. I love all the Lompoc locations. Well, this location, hedge house and Oaks bottom. The only crappy thing I hate about coming to 23rd is the parking. This Lompoc has great food. I’ve had a few things, but my favorites are the sliders and the cheesy spuds. Every Lompoc has a different menu. I especially make the trek out to Nob Hill, when I am hankering for the cheesy spuds. If you like reds, the Proletariat is excellent.

So fond of this place. I was very disappointed when they completely remodeled the New Old Lompoc. I prefer the dumpy, authentic pub. This new location took some getting used to. The beer, service, food, and ambiance are all legit. The new pub possess charm and the same great fare. I joined some friends a while back for chowder and ale. The ale was Circus IPA — a citrusy beer, around 5% ABV. I followed it up with the C-Note Imperial IPA. This is a favorite beer. The chowder, quite good, but could have been a little thicker. Very good service and some of the same folks have been working here a long time. I appreciate the longevity in the staff. There’s this fella named Joe who’s been working there a great while. He’s good and a Boston Fan. Their restrooms are roomy and clean. Also, something they weren’t offering before the remodel — outside seating! Cool artwork and relics decorate the pub.

Great deals, good food, good beer. This is a favorite of ours for Monday night football. There’s a good amount of TVs, and a great outdoor patio. Also, a great selection of food and beers. With kitschy décor and a bit of a German feel, Lompoc is lively but usually not too hard to get a seat. Worth checking out.

We came here for dinner on Sunday night, since it was in walking distance of our hotel, and it was listed on our brewery list. Service here was prompt and friendly. Our bartender loved that we were from Chicago and told us about a show he was going to in Chicago soon, and invited us to show up! I was a little beered-out(it’s a thing!), so I chose an Oregon-brand vodka soda with grenadine. Nice size and good proportions. They do offer a tasting menu here, which my travel compadre chose. Nice sized sample portions arrived(6, I believe, but all the beer experiences elsewhere make it hard to remember), and she liked them all. I ordered a southwest salad– came with nice sized portion of seasoned chicken, tortilla chips(fun surprise over pithy little strips), corn, beans, and a dressing. It was fantastic, but maybe a tad salty on the chicken. I ended up dipping the chips in the dressing, although I was probably supposed to break them up or something… eh, oh well! My friend had the lamb burger which she said was amazing– I was too involved in my own to try hers! The restaurant had a nice, open feel, with the large windows that opened up. We sat in the outside area, which was clean and well-maintained. I appreciated the bathroom– the wallpaper on one wall was all of their beer labels! Great idea! It ended up being a reasonably priced dinner, I thought. Definitely worth trying!

Was in there the other day. The beer wasn’t that cold… and it was really hot inside(what happened to AC?). Took away a star. However, the Game Of Thrones drink menu is awesome… my Khaleesi was delicious
