Lawrence Hovey, DMD – Northwest Periodontics and Dental Implants

A steller experience. As other reviewrs noted, professional is the tone through and through Dr. Hovey’s practice. His front office handled paperwork, insurance and financial issues efficiently and politely. The support staff was friendly and efficient, while explaining every aspect of the procedure. With the quality of his support staff, all Dr. Hovey had to do was show up and do very complicated work with a relaxed attitude and a high order of competence. Oh, and he called — not his staff — at the end of the day to see how I was doing. Again, stellar.

Dr Hovey was recommended to me through my regular doctor for a gum procedure, and I’m really happy with my experience. The procedure took much less time than they had originally stated, and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Dr Hovey was even kind enough to answer my questions during his time off over the weekend. I definitely recommend.

I was referred to Dr. Hovey through my regular dentist. I went to my consultation yesterday and felt very comfortable with the treatment plan I was given. I’m hoping to get an appointment scheduled asap to fix an implant that was put in years ago by a dentist out of the area. Sheri is incredibly thorough and painless. I’ve always had wonderful hygienists at this practice, and have the utmost confidence in Dr. Hovey. He is bright, personable, and a master of his craft. I never have any trepidation in approaching a treatment at his hands.

I just had a whambam first visit with Dr. Hovey. My early AM evaluation revealed the need for root planing (ack!), and then they were able to get me in immediately due to a cancellation (it would have been a 3−4mo wait). The doctor, his hygienist, and assistant were friendly and attentive. The procedure was a lot quicker than anticipated so I could go get a coffee (probably not the smartest plan, all numb). The front office staff were funny and engaging; overall it was a great experience given the reason. Oh, and the office has super great dedicated parking off of Flanders.

Fantastic. Made me feel relaxed (I’m super nervous about dental torture). Competent, friendly, efficient, organized, kind. Highly, highly recommended.

If you have periodontal disease or need a tooth extraction, Dr. Hovey is your go-​to guy.
He is young and has a great «bedside» manner that made me feel at ease, even as I got the bad news that I had a hairline crack deep in my tooth, meaning that it couldn’t be saved and would have to be pulled.
Ouch, right?
Well, not really. Dr. Hovey and his staff are so capable and gentle that honestly, I wouldn’t know that anything had happened to me if I didn’t have a hole where I used to have a tooth!
I feel really grateful to have been referred to Dr. Hovey. He and his staff made what could have been a very unpleasant, painful experience a walk in the park. And of course, one of his staff members followed up with my to check, a thoughtful touch.
