NEVER picks up the phone and does not return calls. Not an attractive attribute for a mental health professional.

****Incoming TMI review**** Eckman? More like THE Man. I love this guy. As someone who has dealt with ADHD for my entire life, I’ve been through a slew of doctors. Some provided by the schools, some private, but none of them compared to Larry. He’s extremely compassionate and understanding, he’s nonjudgmental, and you can tell that he has a ton of experience dealing with all forms of ADHD. I started seeing him about 2 years ago after being unmedicated for my entire life. While it took some trial and error to come to a good place, Larry was extremely patient and understanding the entire time. He’s not one of those doctors who brings you in, writes a prescription, and sends you on your way. He genuinely wants to help his patients with a mix of both cognitive behavior therapy and medication. What good is medication if you don’t have the right habits in place? I can’t recommend the guy enough. My experience is exclusively as an adult with ADHD, but I can tell that his temperament and patience would be phenomenal with children. I mean, after all, adults with ADHD are just giant children! :D

I have found Laurence to be so much more personable than any prescriber I have worked with in the past. He was trained as a clinical social worker before studying nursing, and uses both skill sets skillfully.
