I enjoy Laughing Planet for their great burritos and swift take-out. Big fan of the freshness of their ingredients. Specifically the quality of the meat, and the variety of fresh items the menu. The staff at this location are a really nice bunch, always cool and always timely.

Nothing special. The derivative animal and plant based protein bowl or wrap is hashed up quickly, but also tends to deliver slightly bland flavors. Their options with meat are really quite skimpy. I suppose, an OK fast food option, but I’ve been to Laughing Planet three times, and they’ve never impressed. A stand by third choice at best when you only have 30 minutes for lunch or dinner.

Service here is HORRIBLE! Delivery of beer WITH the TOGO order so you either have to chug your drink or eat cold food. And the food is plain and HORRIBLE also.

What can I say. seems vegetarianism is the a fad and this place is based on that fad. I see others say the service was amazing but I found the guy at the counter just waiting for us to order and offered no help in deciphering their menu system, since we were obviously first-timers. The food was actually very bland, had to add hot sauce.

Based on my meal alone, I would have given this a four star. But my husband’s burrito was a little lacking. The café is very small but cute. There isn’t a lot of seating room but we were eating early and were able to snag one of the larger tables. The place was covered in toy dinosaurs which the kids loved and played with. Nobody complained so I assume playing with them was ok. I ordered their pot roast special(the vegan version). It was very good. Came with tempeh, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables. Lots of flavor. Filling and comforting. My husband ordered a vegan burrito. I think it was supposed to come with tofu and vegetables but it ended up being mostly black beans and rice inside. Pretty boring and uninspiring. My son had the tween burrito and he seemed to like it fine. It was a good size for him. Service was a trifle slow but since the kids were able to play with dinosaurs, it worked for us.

friendly service, amazing quesadillas, kind of a tight dining room area on a busier day but still nice and cozy. love the dinosaur toy décor!

Extremely disappointed in my order this evening. Got a Salad to go and honestly, I am blown away at the sparse amount of food they decided to serve me for the amount I ended up paying for it! The salad came in a large bowl and was thrown together sloppily. Barely any lettuce, mostly chopped tomatoes, 2 slices of radishes and maybe a table spoon of quinoa. I should take a picture and show you all how pathetic this truly is. I won’t be ordering from this location for a to go order again.

Went in and they didn’t have what they advertised as having on their website. not gonna reward them for laziness by eating something else that I don’t really want.

Meh, I’d give it another chance, but it wasn’t amazing. We came here for dinner and I got the paleo bowl. It was certainly reasonably priced and ready pretty quickly, but my food wasn’t especially delicious. I was pleased that they had a clear paleo choice on the menu and that the ingredients seemed to be fairly high quality, but it fell a little short overall.

Food was meh. A little dry because they don’t use any sauce which is strange for a restaurant with a Mexican menu. Might come here again but not in my top ten.

Great vegan options. Wish they didn’t serve lamb(dead baby animals and all that), but glad they have the vegan options they do!

This place is awful. Inconsistent garbage. I hope they go out of business soon. How hard is it to make a smoothie? Tell me. How hard? Do they seek out employees who are specifically incapable of making smoothies? That seems like a bad idea for a place that makes smoothies. I dunno.

This is such a nice place for lunch with options from omnivores to vegans. Prices can get a little much and the lunch rush can get a line out the door, but if you go during slower hours, lunch is amazing. I swear by the Korean BBQ bowl which is great with tofu or steak. Juices and smoothies are available and this location is one of the odd times I’ll frequent a chain and the other locations in the city are consistent in their dishes. If the condiments include nutritional yeast, you know this is a good place to eat.

They might use quality ingredients but none of them end up on your plate. When I opened up the two bowls I bought for dinner, I only saw a ¼ full bowl, barely enough to feed a small child. To add insult to injury, there was a small bag of chips — 10 were included. Thanks for nothing. $ 25? Barely worth $ 2.50. F that.

If you order the Che Burrito, be very careful, it is so delicious you might eat the foil it is wrapped in. I checked, and they use aluminum foil, which, while not technically edible, is unlikely to make you sick, so you don’t need to go to the ER.

I feel these guys can be a hit or a miss. But when it’s good, it’s mindblowing, hence the 4 stars. The first time I went here, I had the beet bowl or something, and cleaned up my plate in minutes. The second time, though, I had a Seoul Burrito, and found it quite terrible. However, I do like the fact that it has a good selection of items. I had a lot of trouble finding parking both the times, had to park three blocks away.

I love Laughing Planet food. The only downside is that the employees aren’t always friendly. I can take cramped quarters for good good food and even a long wait. I have been to this location more than the others and it has friendlier staff than most locations although even here it’s kind of hit or miss. There is one employee that is consistently smiling and helpful, can’t remember his name but he’s a young black man. Super helpful and nice. Natalie is also sweet and helpful.

I got the Che Guevara! Ha, love it. And it was delicious. I love plantains and was thrilled to get them in a burrito. Vegan options are clearly marked. They also had a very good beer selection. I will definitely go again when my stomach calls out for a burrito.

My kind of fast food: tasty and dependable, with good sourcing and ethical standards. It’s a varied menu from salads to burritos(available sans tortilla) to soups to bowls, with plenty of options for anyone ranging from a conscientious carnivore to an ardent gluten-free vegan and everyone in between. There are so many options for subbing things out(kale instead of grains) or in(beef instead of tempeh) that you can almost always change up even your favorite order to try something new! On my last visit we had the Paleo and the Korean BBQ bowls: both were fresh and scrumptious, with plenty of flavor or spice or whatever they were supposed to be manifesting. Serving sizes aren’t massive, which I see as a plus(I want to eat healthy portions, not vats, of healthy food!), but might not be quite large enough on their own for someone who’s in post-workout starving mode. No problem: just add on a side or two from the dozen-plus deep list(things like sweet corn, brown rice, pintos, sweet potatoes, and on and on) in that case. Smoothies are another option; though I haven’t tried one, these are the only kind I order: no ice, no sherberts, no frozen yogurt, nothing premade. Just fresh fruits and juices(with local berries when they’re in season). There is a parking lot at this location but it’s usually full, so budget in some time for walking or looking for street parking if you’re going out of your way to eat here. Not a ton of interior dining space, but the turnover is pretty quick(and there’s of course beer and wine to keep you company while you eat). I wouldn’t go as far out of my way for Laughing Planet as I might for something like Veggie Grill, but there are so many Laughing Planets around town that out-of-the-way usually isn’t a problem. If you can’t find a food cart, don’t want to do food prep at home, or just need something healthy and good for dinner, find the nearest one and enjoy!

This location is a block from my apartment. When I’m in the mood for healthy take-out, this place is perfect. For $ 4.95 I get a bean, cheese, and rice burrito, substitute pico for habanero salsa. It’s not a greasy gut bomb, and I usually get 2 meals out of it. I’m usually in and out in about 5 minutes. The counter folks are nice and willing to let you sample things you aren’t familiar with. I need to try some of their other items. The food is geared toward healthier items. They have vegetarian, vegan, omnivorous, paleo etc… it’s organic, non-GMO, and local for the most part.
