No longer in business. I went to 10th and Alder to eat there and was told they are gone.

Went there tonight around 7:30 after having an unsatisfying(extraordinarily overpriced) dinner across the street at a grill I won’t name. I’m not sure why they were open so late, it says on Unilocal they close at 5. But there were the hipster food cart tours going around so maybe they were just staying up late to capitalize on that. I grabbed a bulgogi burrito, figuring I’d eat part now and save the rest for later in the evening or the morning. I got a side of kimchi but the lovely woman working(with presumably her husband or relative on the grill) encouraged me to put it in the burrito, I did and I do not regret it, it was delightful. Their bulgogi is fantastic and the rest of their fillings were fresh and delicious. It was also remarkably cheap, at least a few dollars cheaper than some of their Korean Fusion competitors.

Being a Korean native I can say this fusion food cart is really good. It still had originality of Korean culture with a hint of Mexican style. I tried all the al la carte but the best one in my opinion was the tofu. The bulgogi was a little too sweet for me but that’s expected for a Korean fusion. The spicy pork is pretty damn spicy also so be careful, but extremely tasty! After my first time, I went back a second time the next day, and will probably be my go to food cart while visiting PDX!

Rice — disappointing. Does not taste good, did not feel good, overall it’s not good at all. Beef — texture was ok… Texture disappointing as it was dry. The taste was not bad. Dumpling — good. Salid — decent.

One of the places capitalizing on the Korean-Mexican cuisine fad is Korean Twist. It is among the Alder food carts, so going to O’Bryant Square in order to eat the food is recommended. They do not have the variety nor is the food as good as Koi Fusion, but it is less expensive. The fillings are not Latin at all, they are all Korean fillings, though the exterior a tortilla, is Latin. I went here in search of a good burrito. They were prompt in preparing my order while the soda is only a dollar. It was tasty, though a bit spicy. The meat was tender and the whole thing fit coherently. It was just as if I were going to a korean barbecue restaurant. It was a sturdy burrito which did not fall apart until my second to last bite. They included napkins. I like their contribution to food, but their industriousness completes the picture for me. What a great place to have lunch.

I love this place. My korean friend introduced this place to me. Since I moved to portland from LA a year ago, I had been craving for a good taste of korean resturant here but I always disappointed on others but the food of this cart was great and innovative!!! I had a tofu taco and a kimchi quesadilla. The ingredient looked fresh and the taste was so special. I am a korean so I tried to make kimchi quesadilla when I missed this quesadilla at my home but I couldnt make same taste even though I almost had same ingredients because they have their own special sauce in it. I also got impressed by the owner because she always tried to smile to me while I was talking to her and she said that she always cares of a clean and fresh food. I am so happy and proud that we have a good korean food cart in portland. Next time, I will bring my friends to there and introduce korean taste!

Delicious and huge portions. My boyfriend and I were staying downtown for the weekend and thought we’d stop by for a snack. We ordered the kimchi quesadilla, tacos and the bulgogi burrito bowl. We could have done with one order less. We were stuffed! I would come again.

After reading such great reviews for this food cart I was disappointed when I took a bite into my bulgogi burrito. The portion, service and beef were excellent. However, in this review, bigger does not mean better. They accept cards but the square reader wasn’t connecting to the server and the charge couldn’t go through. I went to target to get cash back so I wouldn’t have to pay an arm fee. That was fine and I totally understand things like that happen. When I finally got the burrito I did not like that the sauce was mayo on one side and gochujang on the other. Why would you put straight mayo in a burrito??? Why??? There are creative ways to make a better tasting sauce with those ingredients than to just slab it on both sides. Maybe experiment with sour cream, gochujang and cilantro/onions? Anything but mayo in a burrito. The iceberg lettuce made me sad too because my burrito was so soggy. Maybe try a pickled Napa cabbage for crunch and to complement the flavors and textures of bulgogi. Later that evening my stomach did not agree with the burrito either and made for an unpleasant night. I love the idea of Korean/Mexican fusion but this food cart was just disappointing

Think Chipotle. Now pretend it’s South Korean. Now imagine, it’s better in every way. That should get you pretty close to Korean Twist. Fluffy tortilla. Pickled vegetables. Generous chunks of well seasoned juicy BBQ beef. Sweet hoisin sauce. A perfectly balanced, satisfying but surprisingly light, joy torpedo, in the form of Korean Burrito perfection.

Went to the Korean Twist located on 5th and Oak in downtown. Brought the kids and had them review. Spent less than $ 20 and they loved it!

If you have never had a Korean burrito or taco before, this is a good place to start. They’re flavorful enough and the kimchi is really excellently spicy. For prices around $ 6-$ 8, it’s filling and tasty. That said, it isn’t the best Korean burrito I’ve had. There are places out there that have meat that is more flavorful, kimchi that is more satisfying, and overall filled with more yum. However, this may be the only Korean burrito truck here, so if that’s what you’re craving, go for it! The size is enormous for the price you pay. I got the three tacos with spicy chicken with a side of rice and kimchi. I would’ve actually been okay with just a cup of kimchi and the rice — I’m not sure if it was because I was craving kimchi, but it was so good that I actually enjoyed it more than the taco. Not that the taco was bad, of course. I was too full from it so I gave one to my friend, who inhaled it(and got Sriracha all over his hands). SAUCE. EVERYWHERE. I also thought I’d be able to choose my taco flavors, but I was all, «Uhh…spicy chicken — «and then wasn’t given a choice, but whatever. If there’s no line(and there wasn’t when I went a little after 1130 am) and you’re not sure if you’re craving Korean food or Mexican food, this is a good place to go to sate both of them somewhere in the middle.

Never had a Korean burrito before so I thought I would give this place a try. It’s now one of my favorites! Every Time I go I always get the spicy pork burrito and let me tell you it is real good! The burrito is big, good ratio of veggie to meat and it’s only $ 6.50! They have spicy pork, beef and even do a tofu burrito. The workers are very nice! I highly recommend to anyone who wants to try something new!

Picture a nomadic group of food trucks that finally found their place. That would be the Portland food truck pods on 10th and Alder St. There are so many delicious looking food spots here, that it can be daunting to try and select just one food option. My suggestion is to follow the reviews and the lines. No lines. No eat. I chose Korean Twist because it was right next to my first option, but there was a massive line. Next door, the Korean Twist line was half as long, so I moseyed on over. KT had a decent list of menu options… with a twist, of course. Bulgogi burrito, Bulgogi tacos, and pretty much any type of Korean style meats, but in a taco or burrito form. I went with a lighter option, the Tofu Burrito. The Tofu Burrito was huge; loaded with veggies, brown rice, Kim chi, and large hunks of tofu. This was pretty good and a filling lunch meal option, but it started to fall apart about half way through. Too much sauce and Kim chi helped to soak right through the tortilla and forced me to use a fork and knife to finish. The flavors were there, but this is not a portable meal. I recommend eating this at your desk or a park table. If you don’t, at least bring an extra shirt.

I’ve only ever had the bulgogi burrito from this cart. It’s pretty good. Just the right amount of spicyness, good amount of meat and veggies. Maybe a little more rice would be nice except the burrito’s already kinda maxing out on size. The only thing I’d complain about is that they don’t use aluminum foil to wrap the burrito.(Probably no place wraps burritos as best as proper mexican restaurants. anyway.) A few times I’d end up with sauce dripping down my arms and also onto my pants. So I’d be like, «damn, craving some korean food. ooh, bulgogi burrito… but do I really want that mess of sauce on my pants again?! oof…» But finally, this time, no sauce dripped out of the burrito! Maybe they made the sauce less watery or something, I dunno. If this keeps up I should no longer have those seconds thoughts about going to this food cart.

If you want a burrito the size of your head — almost too big to finish but too good to stop eating, go to Korean Twist. Lately I’ve been enjoying their taco combo — for $ 7 you get three tacos(I choose tofu, spicy chicken or pork, and bulgogi) with a side of kimchi(or salad, if you’re not inclined) and fried rice. Their flavors aren’t «authentic» to either Korean or Mexican(nor do I believe they claim to be), but definitely a very tasty fusion. Friendly service as well. My only gripe if anything would be that the food is served pretty much at room temperature.

Korexican? Mexiean? Either way, I approve. And if you don’t read any further, just know this: for $ 5 dollars you’ll get a Korean burrito the size of Donald Trump’s ego. Make sure you get the spicy chicken and this cart can’t be beat. My only complaint is the age old«fusion isn’t as good as the real thing» rant, so rather than bother you with that pretentiousness, I’ll just leave it there. Plus, with a staff that sweet, they could sell fusion to even the staunchest of traditionalists and have them waving the flag for kimchi quesadillas with the rest of the Korexicans.(Mexieans? I’m still working on that one.)

This was our first food truck experience in Portland and it was awesome! We came to the large food truck pod in downtown and pulled up Unilocal and this was one of the highest rated places on the list. The truck is nothing fancy — Just a simple truck with a cute lady working behind the counter. We were told by another food truck owner to try the tacos and took him up on his recommendation. We ordered the Spicy Pork Korean Tacos and they were insanely good — they were the perfect combination of spicy and sweet. We ordered 3 to split for the two of us, but they are tiny and not heavy on the stomach… basically, I could have eaten 5 of them in one sitting! The truck opened up at 11:30 on Saturday — We went right when it opened And there were no lines. Great service, great price, great food!

Korean Twist’s bulgogi(grilled marinated beef) burrito is AMAZING! That was one delicious ginormous burrito for only $ 6.50. PDX food carts FTW! The bulgogi burrito(w/kimchi) is a giant flour tortilla beautifully wrapped around bulgogi, rice, crisp fresh veggies, and some awesome sauce. *I added kimchi for an additional $.50 to make it extra awesome. The bulgogi burrito is $ 6 otherwise* I think it’s safe to say I’m delightfully over-stuffed. I probably shouldn’t have powered through the whole thing but the key to a less messy burrito eating experience is to not put it down. You’re welcome! You can get the bowl version of the burritos if you like. It’s all the goodies sans flour tortilla. I was really thinking about doing that but decided for my first time I should opt for the whole shebang. It was everything I had hoped it would be. One day I’ll try the other food items… One day.

On the go Korean tacos? Bulgogi, chicken, and pork tacos with korean spicy sauce? I love it. It’s simple, original, yet creative. The owner is a young student, very hip and Portlandish, and loves what she makes. I give her kudos for making such a creative jump to start her career. I have yet to try the burrito, but if I’m in Portland again, I may try it.
