Kiehl’s at PDX

I love Kiehl’s and their great products, but I’m sad that this is not an «official» kiehl’s store. For most this probably means nothing, but for Kiehl’s rewards members, it means you don’t get credited for purchases here.

No tax and the kind service that makes you smile. I had a postcard for a crème de corps with purchase at home and they honored it after helpfully and cheerfully answering my ton of questions and letting me sample everything like a kid in a candy store.

I recently was at PDX and had passed security when I realized I forgot my face scrub, I went into Kiehls to grab some of their Papua scrub and eye makeup remover. The gentlemen that helped me gave me a few free samples to take on my trip. The merchandise is top of the line and I love the utilitarian packaging.

HURRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY FOR NO SALES TAX. i love portland. great little store for those people (me) who forget their toiletries. love love love.

You can’t go wrong with your last minute shopping for your toiletries, sundries and other trinkets that can «mask» as stocking stuffers.
The selection is not as great as their store in NW 23^rd but they have all I need for my travels. They have eye depuffer, facial fuel moisturizer, lip balm and face wash.
Fine. I forgot my toiletry kit this morning. This store saved my day and added more!

I love that you can sample/​try most everything before you buy it.
Yes, their stuff can be a little spendy but it’s usually worth it.
It’s fantastic that they have this little boutique in the airport. Not only can I grab anything that I might have forgotten or pick up a gift, but I can also slap on some moisturizer and spritz on some fragrance too.

Monique is awesome. She was super knowledgeable and did a great job helping me find the right products for my skin. I can’t wait to try my new samples!

Oh Kiehl’s, I love your minimal (and recyclable) packaging, your simply labeled products and your lack of foofoo-​ness and fake fragranced-​ness in general. You make the only lip balm I’ve ever found that pleases not only the female folk but also every man I know that has used it. I love how generous you are with free samples. I love how gentle your moisturizers are and how many of your products feature natural ingredients. I love the location of this airport shop because I am rarely in a mall or place where I can easily buy your products. I only wish you were a bit less expensive!
