Lemonade with big chunks of ginger, mint and real lemons, meat and veggie kebabs, gluten free marinades, homemade flat breads. Yum. I had the Moroccan beef kebab and it was so delicious. Tender, full of flavor. and totally satisfying.

Whoop whoop! Montavilla Farmer’s Market has a new food stand, and it’s kebab-a-riffic(actually, it’s Kebab-A-Rama, but who’s counting?!). Opened by a team that consists of one part of Pine State’s winning team, and a couple of other enterprising folks, this little kebab stand is about as fresh as you can get. In face, I think I was customer #2. Serving up an array of veggie, chicken, beef and lamb kebabs, as well as some flat bread sandwiches(gyro-style) made with the freshly-grilled meat, it’s hard to go wrong. $ 3 gets you a hearty meat kebab of your choice(chicken, beef, lamb) and with your selection of sauce: Bangkok, Morocco, Memphis and a few others. $ 2 will score you a veggie kebab, and $ 6 gets you a flat bread sandwich(I have yet to try). I sampled a Bangkok chicken kebab and it was nice and tasty, but the stand-out was the lamb made with the Moroccan grilling sauce — a nice, spicy, North-African/turmeric flavor complimented the tender lamb just nicely. The flat breads look hand-made, so I’ll be curious to try a sandwich(with some veggies and raita) some time soon. Glad to have this sweet little food stand rocking my neck of the woods. And happy to have Montavilla Farmer’s Market in full swing!
