In my practice I deal with a lot of real estate. I have worked with Tom for a number of years. He is one of the finest, most ethical real estate brokers with whom I have had the pleasure to work.

Tom, your response is completely dishonest, condescending, and antagonistic. I contacted you via Redfin and asked for a showing of a property. You initially agreed to take me on a tour but then you began requesting my financials and stated that I needed to sign an exclusive contract with you first.
We never spoke on the telephone because all of our communication was handled over email. In those email exchanges you were consistently condescending. You assumed I was a first time homebuyer that knew nothing of the home buying process. And, when I told you that I didn’t feel comfortable signing an exclusive with you or divulging my financials prior to a face-​to-​face encounter your response was to refuse to show me the property I had requested a tour of.
I contacted Redfin following our encounter and explained what had transpired and they apologized profusely and you were removed from my account. I also talked to several other realtors about your conduct in order to determine if I was just way off base. In their opinion, the information you were seeking was inappropriate and your conduct as a realtor was unprofessional. These are people who work in your field. I decided to write my one star review after speaking with your colleagues.
It’s unfortunate that you would rather focus your response on continuing to be condescending and antagonistic rather than attempting to repair our previous encounter. Personally, I wouldn’t want a one star review sitting on my Unilocal business account and I would strive to do everything in my power to rectify the situation. Your response only further solidifies my position that our interactions merit a one star experience. Which, is exactly why I elected to hire another realtor. Interesting that you believe that chose not to work with me because that’s in stark contrast to your emails in which you continually ask for me to meet you at your office and sign an exclusive.

We were clueless on house buying when we started our journey, we were fortunate to find Tom Ramsey, and he was amazingly helpful. He never pressured us when we looked at houses, he gave us honest opinions, he knew what to look for in the homes that would need work, or pointed out things that were very nice and rare about a house. He was very patient throughout our entire process, I don’t know how we got so lucky in our first home buying experience. If you are a first time buyer, or anytime buyer, Tom has great knowledge and I highly recommend using him. Also, every time we needed to drop by for any sort of paperwork or anything like that, the rest of the staff was always very friendly and attentive. If we ever decided to go house hunting again, we will definitely go back to John L. Scott Real Estate!

Ahhh, so this has been a long time coming, as we have been in our house now since September. My apologies to our Realtor. She deserves all the kudos about to be bestowed unto her!

We began looking for our home last summer, & we ran the gambit of emotions. This is fun & exciting… this is getting old… this is a pain in the ass… this sucks… ahhhhh, we found it, this is so fun & exciting… this is so scary… through all of that, Theresa was the glue that held us together. As first time home buyers, we went in with our eyes open. We did the research, read the books, took the class… we still didn’t know jack!
Theresa helped us find an awesome home inspector, set us up with a lender, & walked us through, holding our hands, every step of the process! She really is wonderful, & we could not have asked for anyone better. I mean, she really looks out for you… even the couple times we got all excited about a home, she would gingerly point out some potential problems & future cost/​repairs that we wouldn’t want to deal with. Never pushy, never.
After we had everything signed, sealed, & delivered, there was an amazing «Welcome Home Basket» waiting for us the first time we stepped into our home. On top of that, she personally delivered a Christmas Wreath to us just after Thanksgiving to help celebrate our first Christmas in our home.
