Hooray Haroo

My husband and I visited this shop because … well, because I’m a giant child. This shop is adorable! I pretty much cleared the window display, even though we don’t have a child. Yes, the hours are odd, but I don’t think that changes the fact that everything in Hooray Haroo is wonderful. What’s more, you will be supporting the locals! My favorite item is this lovely bunny (?) … I’m going to call it a bunny. It’s made by a local retiree. I gotta tell ya’ that’s how I imagine my retirement. Ah yes, making beautiful things and getting paid for it :)
Anyway, I didn’t catch the name of the lady who helped us, but she was very nice. I don’t think I can say enough nice things about this place. If you’re in the area definitely stop by, if only to look at the hand made things. I will visit this shop again the next time we’re in Portland! Overall, great shop — moderately priced items.

These ladies are AMAZING!!! Hand made children’s clothing, they’re like Cinderella without all the mice.

OMG this store is so cute! I found the perfect gift for a new baby niece here, complete with an outfit and stuffed toy. And I even found some cute decorations and toys for my preschool classroom.
They have some really adorable dresses that convert to a skirt and can grow along with a growing child. Cool Idea!
And the person working there was friendly and helpful. I have been in a few time since then and they always seem to have something new. Love it, glad to see it in the neighborhood!

Made a trip to this store specifically for birthday gifts for two young nephews– store closed. I was there 3:00 pm on a Thursday. The hours posted in the window say they are open Tuesday-​Thursday from 11:00 (ish) to 5:00 (ish) I think 3:00 on a Thursday is within that time frame even with their (ish) noted. Very irritating. I like to support neighborhood businesses but sketchy hours like this are what turns me off on a business.
