I didn’t realize at the time I last reviewed the following things: That reward card really ads up quick! The salmon cream cheese on a plain bagel is really good. I love the way they do bagels… I think they need to get more bagels.

BEST. BAGELS. EVER. This place not only has delicious coffee but it has THEBESTBAGELSEVER by Blackheart, which I learned you can’t buy in stores. Guess I’ll just be filling up my punch card at Happy Cup! Seriously. Salted bagel with SOMUCHSHMEAR. I was having a bad day and this made me a happy, happy girl. Here’s my plea: PLEEEEEEEEASE open on the weekends! I came here on a Sunday morning to get my bagel and coffee fix and I was bummed that it as closed. The coffee: super delicious and the company mission is to provide employment for adults with disabilities. Coffee with a cause! Love it here and will be back often!

Happy cup is now my favorite coffee spot! The atmosphere might not be the coziest but the friendly staff communicates with you and holds interesting conversation. Delicious lattes, awesome coffee, wonderful workers! I will be highly recommending this spot to any Portlanders looking for a superb cup of coffee. This place also holds free shows and community programs for children. While I was there a clown entertained a huge group of little kiddos and made everyone’s morning a little better.

Excellent, excellent coffee. Best latte I’ve had in a while. It took a bit long to make, but to their credit they were training someone new. Great customer service otherwise. Looking forward to going back. Good espresso and almond milk steamed correctly is hard to find!

This is just what I needed, a great place to lounge on a couch and read just blocks from my house. Their iced coffee is my go to! Haven’t tried the food yet, but the menu looks really good(and healthy, which I appreciate). Would frequent them more often if they stayed open longer!

Happy Cup has just zoomed to the top of my list of go-to spots to get coffee and get some work done! I’ve seen their roaster on NE33rd and NE Sandy for many years and was so excited to hear that a café was opening within biking distance of my home. I’ve also been enjoying their coffee at Whole Foods Market! Not only is Happy Cup just delicious coffee, but the company mission is to provide employment for adults with disabilities. Or maybe it’s a misprint… because whomever roasted this coffee must have EXTRA abilities! Well done! The café space is so spacious! The very chilled out atmosphere is a total escape from its location on a very busy intersection(NE Killingsworth and NEMLK). Comfy couches, community room(for meetings or what have you), nice tables and chairs, a piano(!) and even outdoor seating. Friendly service and delicious coffee. FREE Wi-Fi! Way to go and I look forward to spreading the word! I hope many other business will be inspired by Happy Cup and Full Life :)

Wonderful coffee in a space that is light and welcoming. Pastries and goodies to eat. Open at 6am for early birds to get that first morning cup. Come and support a great organization and enjoy the treats!

We’ve only gone for the coffee, but we keep going back. It’s not the nearest coffee shop, but with good cold brew and a number of different types of spaces to sit and work/read/talk, it keeps us happy.

While it was sad to see Reflections go, the good folks at Happy Cup has done a great job in redesigning the space, bringing in great coffee and awesome pastries while supporting the disabled in our community. The space is really beautiful and the barista was super friendly with none of the condescending attitude commonplace at some of the other shops on the east side. Great to see these folks here and hope that more folks discover it(Sunday morning was pretty quiet) and support their awesome mission! Only recommendations? I’d add a few tables outside, and use less chocolate in the mocha as that was a bit on the sweet side. Otherwise, keep up the goodness!

I forgot how easy it can be to grab a coffee every morning on the way to work. It’s even easier when the coffee is great and the service friendly. In the few short months since Happy opened, it’s become an almost daily habit. Today I used their meeting room, which is freely available to the community. The spacious room has several tables and chairs. Unfortunately the walls don’t go all the way up to the ceiling and some trick of acoustics pulls all the standard coffeeshop noises into the room to echo around. If someone also plays the piano by the room, you’ll have to yell to be heard. Meeting over. The room is a great idea. I hope there’s a way to make it more useable. Until then, they definitely have my morning business.

Yay for Happy Cup! Delicious coffee, great pastries, awesome space, and an incredible mission. I was so happy a.) to see Happy Cup come to NE, and b.) to fill the void where Talking Drum /Reflections was. First off, the coffee is phenomenal — love their roasts and subtle flavors. Second, the space inside is… can’t quite put my finger on it. It’s big, and currently a little sterile, but i’m sure some life will appear on the walls soon. Great to chat, sit and sip, or even work. As Brandon B. pointed out, they’re definitely open. I popped in when not a patron was in, but they served me with a smile — hopefully the place will be hopping soon, and i did see a handful of patrons when I walked by yesterday. Finally, if you don’t know about the good that Happy Cup does, check them out. I’m so proud to have them in Portland and now to have them in my neighborhood.
