Due to bad luck we waited about an hour to have all of our issues handled. Before our purchase was complete an employee(forget his name but he looks a bit like Zach Effron) gave us 10% off one of the items we bought. While that was only $ 5 or so, the very fact that an employee realized that we had been there for a while and did that was incredibly thoughtful. I’d recommend friends to go here for their own gaming purchases. Cheers to you pseudo-Zach Effron gamer. Cheers to you.

Needed to get a PlayStation 4 for my cousin, though had no clue about the bundles, controllers, games, etc. The entire staff here was top notch. They run the place as if it were a family business. They were incredibly helpful over the phone and in person, on Black Friday, one of the busiest days of the year.

I really enjoy this GameStop! The employees here are great and so far the game selection hasn’t been bad so far. I do find it a little weird that Multnomah County now requires them to fingerprint you before you trade games, and they scan your ID instead of just checking it. Keep that in mind when you go in to trade guys, and if you’re going in to trade a working system in I would suggest that first you try selling it on Craigslist. Overall though I really enjoy the employees here, they make going in a way better shopping experience.

My Son always seems to know where the nearest Gamestop is located. This one is on the 3rd Level in the Pioneer Square Mall, and is pretty lonely among the empty store fronts in this area. I came in to buy an accessory and things progressed to looking for a sweatshirt to what was the next coolest game that he wanted for Christmas(or before). Also present in the Store was somebody’s Basketball Team and the usual collection of folks you might expect to find here. My Son found a used version of a game he liked. However, since he didn’t ask, I didn’t offer. That disappoint him greatly until I forced him to tell me what he really wanted. As such $ 16 wasn’t such a high price to incrementally teach a life skill.

Thats fucking right 3 stars for a chain@! here is why… some games new here are cheaper than freddy’s, you can trade, or jet, no pressure, people that work here play games. Ask, they may just save you from dumping 60 bucks in game that will be worth 20 tommorow. The trade values suck. but I have been a gamer long enough to know not to buy games until they have been out a year. They are super pushy with the preorders at every location and when it comes in you may get your copy, if your nice.

I like video games. I like to talk video games. There isn’t another Gamestop location I like more than the top-level GameStop in Pioneer Place. First and foremost, the staff at a GameStop location can really make or break the store. I live near a GameStop(*cough* the Gateway location one *cough*) that is actually much more convenient for me to visit. However, the workers at that location are like drones; they don’t engage in any insightful chatter and push preorders on me constantly. The staff at the Pioneer Place GameStop are very friendly, like to chat about video games, are don’t push preorders unless there’s a direct link from a game you might be purchasing. I get it: you need to push preorders. But be rationale about it like the Pioneer Place staff! The location is pretty nice; just a hop, skip and two escalator rides up and there you have it. Inside the store is typical GameStop fare. The main reason why I’m giving this GameStop location five stars is the staff. The staff can really dictate how much you like a particular GameStop location. And when it comes to locations in and around Portland, you can’t beat this one.

This place is the reason why you cant find a local game store anymore. The only decent thing about them is that they usually hire employees who know what they are talking about, especially at this location. If you waste as much money on games as me then you have so many reason why to hate them: –Didn’t reserve it? Sucks to be you, you cant buy it on launch day. –A game that cost you $ 60 a week ago is now worth $ 40 if you try to trade it in. Worth $ 25 if you wait 2 weeks. –Can I please see your ID to purchase this game, its rated M. –You are the reason why we have $ 60 game prices -$ 5 game deposit x 1000 deposits = $ 5000×5% 6 month CD interest = $ 127 in interest. Profit of $ 127×5000 stores = $ 635,000 in FREEMONEYFORTHEM –Would you like to buy a strategy guide with that? –Used games cost almost as much as new ones, how does that work? –They re-wrap games and call them new when they are used. Do us all a favor and buy 1 star for the staff 1 star for the location since it is the only place in downtown to buy games if you’re feeling lazy Do everyone a favor: –Buy elsewhere –Sell your used games online or on craigslist
