I live between several record stores but I love Future Shock because they have an awesome selection of vinyl toys and show posters you don’t see elsewhere. Also, if you buy a blind box figure and don’t like what you get, you can trade it for the one on display. Everyone in here is super nice also! Great to have them right down the street!

I love this place. I collect vinyl art toys and found that they have a big selection and they were reasonably priced. The staff are friendly. Great record selection. Great location.

I love this place, but not for the records. I go for the vinyl toys. They’ve got a pretty solid selection of blind boxes and cool statues. The staff was really friendly and helpful. If you are going for records, they have several listening stations where you can give your selection a listen before you decide to purchase it. When we were there, they had a local artist displaying her artwork in their gallery. I’m not sure if this is an all the time thing or if we just got lucky.

Playing a worn out tune. In Portland, a vinyl record shop is usually right around the corner and this is a shop soon forgotten. The prices are overly expensive, the selection underwhelming and the trade-in that I received for my records felt like a rip-off. I will not be going back here… will stick with Mississippi and Exiled records.

Very cool vibe. Old school hip-hop pumping from the speakers, while the DJ(owner?) spins the tunes. Unusual T-shirts. Vinyl Collectables. and and art gallery in the back with some really interesting futuristic paintings on wood. I’ve walked past a few times and surprised that it wasn’t on Unilocal. It has a really cool homey feel. You can peruse through the records or pull out a few and listen to them. Older funk and R&B like Cameo, Tower of Power and a Prince section! Blondie, Bob Marley and some old school rap in the racks as well. I guess you’d say a very eclectic place if this is what you are into. I’d go back just to see what new art is in the back gallery. Enjoy!
