Great coffee shop! Awesome atmosphere and the mocha was amazing. They were slammed, but the two guys handled it. Visit this place and you will feel good.

This isn’t Starbucks folks. I never thought I would say this but this place has better coffee and atmosphere than Starbucks or any coffee shop I have been to. Friendly staff who make amazing drinks. you gotta check them out when you’re in the area.

A seriously beautiful coffee shop. I generally don’t care much for the west side of the river, but this place always impresses me.

Ok, let’s be real here… this is obviously not the best coffee shop in PDX but also far from being the worst. I’m the first one to admit that I’m a secret(maybe not so secret) Floyd’s addict and grab a coffee here at least once a week since I work right across the street. Floyd’s is a hit or miss at this location. There are days where my Cappuccino is bomb and days(like today) were it’s just«ehhh» I’ve had better. Overall this is a decent coffee shop with a relaxed atmosphere. Be warned, it gets VERY crowed early in the mornings so expect a little bit of a wait.

nice coffee shop in Chinatown, lots of seating inside, nice comfy chairs as well. Got a cappuccino, was keeping up with PDX’s high coffee standards. Overall good place to work over coffee.

Unimpressed and mislead by other reviews. Yes, there are tables and booths, but the wifi was barely working, the music was SUPER loud(varied by barista, as I noticed during a shift change), and it was overall just average and cold. I guess I’d come back if I didn’t have another option and was caught in a storm or something, but I’d say there are a lot of more appealing coffee shop options to choose from. The one thing this place has going for it is a lot of seating at various sized tables, and it’s very unpretentious.

AMAZINGBREAKFASTBURRITOS! I was a little apprehensive because I’ve never tried veggie chorizo but I’m happy I decided to give it a try. The burrito consist of egg, amazing cheese, locally made salsa and veggie chorizo. They’re a little on the smaller side of normal breakfast burrito standards but none the less every bite was thoroughly enjoyed. Anytime I’m in Portland I’m definitely going to return to Floyd’s for another burrito. The staff is friendly and the lattes are delicious for pairing with the burritos. The only thing I will say is the lattes not as temperature hot as I would have liked. Extra hot latte will be the only thing I change for my future order.

Honey Bucket and I visited Floyd’s in the hopes of finding a homey spot to read books and wait out the rain. The exposed brick, coupled with a few cozy couches, made the atmosphere of Floyd’s quite inviting. The coffee itself was good, not great, but the free refill on the plain coffee Honey Bucket ordered was a nice touch. The service was bitchin’ and the barista, let’s call him Taylor, definitively made the experience enjoyable — he even ducked into the back room to check for carmel syrup for my latte. Overall, Floyd’s was a solid choice, but a bit of additional comfortable seating would certainly add to the experience. P. S. If you go, note the tiny ceiling fans. Though I can’t imagine they actually function well, I’m a big fan.

One of my favorite spots to get coffee, meet people and work. Their service and atmosphere is really great, usually relaxing and chill and overall just a great neighborhood coffee shop. As a digital nomad, it’s also convenient for getting work done, with plenty of booths, tables and you can always find a plugin, which is highly useful for powering up the digital devices! Overall, it’s a pleasant venue and if you’re within the Old Town/Downtown area, check it out. Oh, and I’ve seen several different TV shows being filmed here(Leverage, Grimm, etc) so if you’re into those shows and interested in locations that are featured on TV and film, the alley way is a popular spot!

I like this place for the coffee. They have refills and its a nice hang spot that does not get too busy. I guess it is like any other coffee shop in the area. They do however have a porch which is nice.

This is the kind of place I can enjoy with almost anyone. I can chat with a visiting professor at University of Oregon, the 19-year-old niece of one of my friends, or withA lover holding hands across the table. It’s hard to identify why this place always feels right. Maybe it’s because everything is high-quality, with a retro, welcoming feel. I came in today after slogging through the Saturday market, feeling dehydrated and like my eyes were poaching in my skull. This place was so perfectly air-conditioned that I wanted to jump up and down with happiness. Except I was too hot

Probably the best coffee spot in the area. Lots of electrical outlets, great music, and of course, excellent coffee. One free refill on the coffee of the day 12 oz, maybe all 12 oz. I’m here on one of the ships for fleet week, and this has easily been my favorite hangout spot. Thanks for the amazing coffee!

Coffee was good, good as any and as I would expect in Portland. I really like the actual spot itself, and the outdoor courtyard out back is awesome. I had no idea that existed before. I wish they had some better and greater food options, that might make it more fun to sit and hang out a while. But on a nice day this is a fantastic spot to sip a cup of coffee.

This place is pretty good. I like going into the shop for an early morning coffee before I head to OCOM. They could use some additional breakfast items, but I certainly don’t mind my usual breakfast burrito. I do really enjoy the music selection when I walk in. It’s always a chill electronic-ambiance vibe, which is great for me.

Well roasted coffee with a super nice staff and fast service; plugs for power everywhere… even an old style cabin phone booth! Comfortable, tasty; feeling happy! Thanks Jack and the whole Floyd’s Coffee Shop crew for making us feel right at home in beautiful Portland!

Good coffee that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. My husband, baby and I are visiting Portland after hearing great things about the city. First stop off the train we head into Floyd’s based on its great Unilocal reviews. We ordered two drinks– both a triple shot of espresso over ice with a bit of vanilla and topped with cream. We’ve order this drink at countless independent and chain shops without any issues. We’re charged $ 6 total which is about average. We pay and tip. After a long wait(even though we were the only people being waited on), two cups with espresso and ice were set at the end of the table. Usually our drinks are prepared for us but no biggie. We headed to the counter, added a bit of cream and a lid and were on our way. Then comes in why this is a two star review and not four. A female employee stopped us on the way out and basically shamed us for our use of the cream. She told us we used too much cream and we should have been charged for breves instead, which cost more. The conversation was long and uncomfortable. We fixed our drinks just as we ordered them. If they wanted to charge us more, she should have had that conversation with the employee– not the paying customers. A breve is 1⁄3 espresso and 2⁄3 cream– not even what we ended up with. This employee’s horribly inappropriate and rude«speech» was the worst welcome to a new city ever. The decent coffee isn’t worth the bad service.

Loving the outside seating, and the Buddha fountain, the European or French quarter style courtyard and the location right off the Max. The vibe is good and the coffee always turns out great. They offer almond milk as an alternative to soy!
