Most excellent space, family and kid friendly, chill music, with pizza, beer, wine and artisan coffee. Newly renovated in earthy Portland style. Free WiFi plus some outside bistro table seating. Very casual and comfortable place.

Great vibe, great Italian-style pizza(thin and crispy, individual-size, like you get in Italy), good coffee, good beer, good people. What else do you want?

Such a welcome addition to this neighborhood! All of the food I’ve tried has been excellent(the butternut squash pizza they offered as the September special was amazing!) and I appreciate that I can go to one spot for my morning coffee and the same spot for an after-work drink. What sells me though is the atmosphere. I love the décor and the overall vibe. Plus the majority of the employees welcome you as if you are part of their family. The owners have been there several times when I’ve been in, and they seem to be in the business because they want to add value to the neighborhood, bring neighbors together, and make good food. This is my new go-to spot for meetings/gatherings with my neighbors, both for business and pleasure. Yes, sometimes the service is slow. Don’t go here for the fast-food experience(there’s a Starbucks in the Fred Meyer down the road). Go here to meet your neighbors and support a local business. You’ll be rewarded with excellent pizza and beer.

I was excited when a nice looking coffee shop was opening in my hood, sadly this place is a huge disappointment. I have visited Fillmore three times and all of which sucked. First off they are slow, painfully slow at making coffee and you would think that being on Glisan they would try to pick up the pace a little bit and capitalize on the fact that they have so many commuters driving by, but they don’t do that at all. The coffee seems inconsistent, maybe it will be good and maybe not so its like a $ 3.75 crap shoot. Two of the times I have gone there they have been out of a food item which is disappointing when it really easy to use your eyeballs and see something getting low and get more of said item. I could maybe understand it a little more if its a place with a huge menu but when all do is make bagels and tiny pizzas you should be able to have your shit together some. They have a children play area right in the middle of the café, great just what you need when trying to talk, read, or sit and enjoy coffee, loud shitty little kids that belong to shitty parents making noise and putting dirty little hands all over the place and shoving things in their mouths. The menu is mediocre and has stupid names for the items like«The Clean Hippy» and«Super Cwaaaazy». Why would you put stupid and embarrassing names like that on your food items? People don’t want to ask for that shit. If you’re thinking about going here I suggest you keep driving unless you want to be around stupid children playing with toys, you love drinking mediocre coffee, and ordering food that they may or may not have.

The Fillmore is a great neighborhood café. It’s awesome for getting a coffee to get work done and then if you get hungry, the pizza is awesome. Good pizza at a great price!

After our fun night of Escapism Portland, we decided to stick around the area for dinner. We ordered three pizzas which were all vegetarian to split amongst the five of us. I was surprised that the pizzas were very pleasant since we didn’t know what to expect. They have about 8 – 10 different pizzas and over half were vegetarian friendly. Our favorite was the margherita pizza. I ordered a mocha to try and it was good as well but was not hot enough imo! And yes we escaped the room with 40 seconds to spare :)

The service was excellent. Chai tea latte and my steamed soy Americano were tasty but a bit on the cooler side. The bagel sandwiches were quite good, but I’ve had better. I would return to try their local artisan pizzas and 5 seasonal beers on tap.

Glad to see another coffee shop in this neighborhood. and a good one at that! Great coffee, friendly service, spacious setting– apt competition for Seven Virtues and Bipartisan Café.

One stop shop; Great coffee, awesome pizza, & decent beer on tap. I have had a lot of coffee in Portland and this place has some of the best drip, pour over, and espresso in town(serving COVA coffee). It is also one of the best pizza joints in town. Thin light crispy crust(10%char) light cheese and fresh toppings for under $ 10.

If you’re looking for an awesome matcha latte, this is the place to go! It’s well worth the trip from any part of town or if you’re visiting Portland. The coffee shop itself is very comfortable with plenty of places to sit, relax or pull out your laptop. Oh, and the food is great too!

Super engaging people with a very fun vibe. I wish I lived around here… I was on the East Side and needed a place to work and relax. Got into a great discussion with customers and baristas about literature. The place is bright, clean and family-friendly…easy parking too. I don’t drink coffee, but the pumpkin bread was ridiculous!

We love Fillmore’s pizza, music, and staff. Fillmore’s margherita is full of fluffy goodness and light on the palette but very savory. They’re always adding exciting and seasonal items to the menu: roasted butternut squash pizza, Asian noodle salad with tofu, roasted corn and poblano with cotija cheese pizza. They’re also kid-friendly with a play table with trains and can make simplified pizzas for your little ones. Their staff is always friendly and accommodating — great to have them in the hood!

I want to love this place. It’s pretty. The barista is kind and makes perfect beverages. Yet yet… there is only one of her. I’ve been here twice and waited in line for over 10 minutes. The other piece is that cell reception in the building is horrible and the Internet speed is slow. Please build up the infrastructure to meet the possibility that this place holds. I could care less about beer at 8 am — I want a coffee(drip coffee) in my hand within 5 minutes of arrival and to be able to begin my work day. Let me know when you add a barista and I’ll bring my business to you instead of 7 virtues or bipartisan. Good luck

A welcome and so badly needed addition to the Taborvilla neighborhood of NE Glisan! Though when I first noticed that it had opened, I was a little confused — coffee and pizza? I can’t attest to the coffee & café bit, but my evening visit made it all make sense. I ordered a margarita pizza and a cider, and sat down beside a children’s play area. Which meant I was immediately on the phone to my friends with kids: «I’ve found a cool place where I can have a beer and you can have tea! And we can both split an AMAZINGLYDELICIOUS pizza! It is like being in a cool Alberta or Hawthorne or Division café, minus the parking hassle!» So really, the café vibe makes it a casual environment — a good place to go when you’re in the mood for an amazingly delicious pizza, say, but not up for a full-blown restaurant. I am really glad that they are here!

Great addition to the Montavilla neighborhood. I’ve had their pizza twice now and both times it was delicious. Since they work closely with the Organics To You to get their pizza ingredients so the pizzas are constantly changing depending on what’s available. Their coffee is good, and their pastry selection is pretty typical of most Portland coffee shops. I had a breakfast bagel with eggs, basil and a creamy sauce. It was delicious. The service is friendly, and the staff isn’t afraid to have a quick little conversation. It’s relaxed and enjoyable.

Filler ‘er up at Fillmore~! I had the luxury of being taken here by my best friend and his wife. They got the news that a new coffee place had opened up in their neighborhood and were very happy with it. Like any good Unilocal reviewer, I was excited to try something new. Now, let’s get serious. The neighborhood is not known for much outside of discount shops, pay-day loans, and if you have no interest in holding onto your money or your dignity, there’s plenty of naughty private«strip clubs» to tickle your fancy… pun intended! The Fillmore comes at a great oasis in a sea of sand dunes. A warm and welcoming couple started it up and do a heck of a lot of things right. They offer the usual house and espresso coffee menu, with some truly welcome food items. Handmade pizza, salads, deserts, and great beer options too. On offering was some yummy looking orange cake and pumpkin bread. My friends opted for the margarita pizza and a lovely fresh salad. They loved it and ate every bite. How I wish I was hungry on this trip out. Pizza was very nicely done with a good char on the crust, fresh mozzarella, and just the right amount of beautiful basil and sauce. Not dissimilar from what I ate in Italy. At $ 7, you can bet my butt will be here more often. Coffee was just great. They ran out just as I ordered, but quickly made another pot and I was good to go. The atmosphere, is sweet as can be. Nice wooden tables, even some outdoor options, and great artwork on the walls. Unlike some of the fancy coffee places that open up(Pearl District I know you can hear me), the focus stays on their product and not on the décor. Everything is made with love and it shows. Overall, this is a fresh and clean place, including the bathrooms which I appreciate, and you just cannot go wrong grabbing a slice of sanity at the Fillmore. Negatives? Only a few minor things. Napkins which you need here, are ultra thin and look like toilet paper. Very cheap and you end up using a ton. The coffee condiment area could use a spruce up, with some more sanitary places to put dirty spoons and garbage. None of this distracts from the great place Fillmore Coffee is and will be. I wish them all the best, you certainly won over this reviewer.

I really like this place. The coffee is great and the beer and Pizza in the afternoon makes me show up twice a day many times. It’s a really friendly and communal space, filled with great music, hip folks, and a fun at atmosphere. I think a coffee house should be a reflection of the neighborhood and this is a super friendly and lively hood. Fillmore has quickly become that place. Thanks BTW I hate the picture of the cat.

They had me at Coava coffee, but I also appreciate it as a tastefully decorated, chill sort of place to chat or work. Very welcoming, in service and atmosphere, with window seating, bar seats, a couple of large tables for groups, and some small two-seater tables. Then I had the ricotta-truffle white pizza(feeling a little skeptical — coffeehouse pizza?) and put it on my list for a quick evening meal, too. Love that I can switch from coffee to a glass of wine as needed. All the cool neighborhood kids are dropping by, with laptops, little ones, a date, or a book.
